Agressive By Nature (Book Two)

Chapter 19

"GET UP LAZY ASS!" Someone screamed in my ear. I growled and shoved my head under the pillows, "no, I'm sleeping."  I responded. "You honestly have 2 minutes to get up or I'm sending in my secret weapon." The person I now identified as Kate said. I laughed slightly, "Do your worst." I heard her evil cackling, "challenge accepted." I laid there for another 2 minutes waiting for Kate.

At last I heard the door creak open, "Mommy?" I heard a voice call out, followed by cute small giggles. I shot up and ran over to Declan, I paused when I saw the massive grin on his face. "Ah aunt Katie! The beast is awake!" After saying that he bolted from the room and I followed him. His small form barrelled down the hallway into Kate's open arms.

They ran into my kitchen and  growled, "I coming for you!" I yelled, I heard them giggle and things shuffling in the kitchen. I smirked as I went through the side door. Their backs were to me and I grabbed Declan, he squealed and I laughed "Aunt Kate! Help shes got me!" He yelled and Kate tried to get him from my arms.

After playing around I set him down on a chair next to Kate, "who wants pancakes?" I questioned the both of them. Their eyes went wide and the both squealed in delight. "Kate your such a child." I laughed as I made the pancake mixture. "Anything for pancakes" she said and I laughed.

I put a pan on the stove and poured the pancake mixture onto the hot pan. After I had made 30 pancakes I stopped. I turned to see almost all the pancakes gone and Declan covered in maple syrup and chocolate sauce. "Oh Jesus." I said and Kate laughed at Declan as he was trying to fit a whole pancake in his mouth at one time.

I laughed when he finally did it and stuck his thumbs up at me. When I finished eating I took Declan to the bathroom to clean him up. I set him on the counter and filled up the bathtub with warm water. I undressed him and put him in the water he smiled and I gave him some toys to play with. He was making truck noises while I washed his hair and cleaned his body from the sticky substance.

"Crash. Bang. Boom!" He yelled and put the car into the water making sinking noises. I smiled at him while he played. "Come on buddy lets get you dressed," I picked him up and wrapped him in a towel. I balanced him on my hip and walked him to his room. I dressed him in a button up flannel and some blue shorts. I then put on his new shoes and combed his black hair. I smiled at him, "Go find Aunt Kate, she will be in her room upstairs."

He nodded and ran off to find Kate. I busied myself cleaning his room and then went for a shower myself. I dressed in a red flannel and blue denim shorts with my combat boots. I put my daggers in the holders and strapped them to my legs. I then went to the front door but paused, "Declan," I called and he came running down the stairs. "Yes mommy?" He asked, "Want to come to see the pack with me?" He nodded.

"Kate! I'll be back later if you need anything call my phone my number is on the bench." I yelled to her and took Declan outside with me. "Car or walk?" I asked him. He pondered the question and eventually chose to walk. We walked for about 20 minutes while playing 'I spy' and color games.

"Ah you win again!" I said and he laughed. The pack house came in view and he ran towards it. "Declan!" I called after him and ran to get him. "Just remember, never repeat anything mommy says okay?" He nodded.

I walked up the steps and received many looks from members. "What are you staring at?" I growled and they immediately went back to their business. Declan growled at them also and I smiled, He definitely had Alpha blood. I walked to the main foyer and saw Freya yelling at Ash. "I hate you Ashton. Just be glad that the Alpha has labelled you a guest or I would kill you." She screamed at him.

Declan wiggled out of my grasp and ran over to Ash "Uncle Ash!" He squealed and hugged Ash. The surprise on his face was noticeable. "Declan? W-what?" He stuttered. I was surprised when Declan came running back over to me and dragged me over to Ash. "This is my new mommy, my real mommy is gone" He said with sadness. I hugged him and looked at Ash.

If he didn't like me before, he definitely hates me now. Fury was on his face, "Destiny. We need to talk." He growled. Declan growled at him, "don't growl at my mommy!" He exclaimed. I sighed, "Declan it's okay go with Freya, she will let you play." His face lit up and he ran at Freya and she took him to play with the other pups.

I led Ash to my office, "What?" I said when the door closed. Ash's gaze softened a little bit but he covered up with a hard stare. "Do you have any idea what you are doing with Declan! He needs a mother figure, not some whore that runs around with no worries!" He screamed at me.

I growled at him "What did you just call me." He stared my in the eyes, "A whore." I growled and lunged at him and tried to grab him. He moved out of my way and looked at me, "Destiny." I stopped, "Don't touch me." He said.

I glared at him, "Why are you so afraid of me touching you?" I questioned him, his face fell, "Because its not allowed." I stood there confused and he turned away from me. "Ash, what do you mean?" I asked. he ignored me and headed to the door. I lunged at him and my hands connected to his shirt. I gasped at the sparks that erupted over my hands.

He turned to me, "Destiny get off." He said calmly, I slid to the floor and let him go. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked slightly upset. He looked down at me, a hard stare upon his face. "Because. I do not love you. I love another and you have another mate." He said with no emotion. I glared at him, "Fuck you." I growled and left my office. I fought back the tears and mind linked Freya saying I was going for a run. I also linked Kate telling her I was going to see Salem.

I shifted into my wolf and she let out a howl of pain. I ran off into the trees and closed my mind off to everyone. On instinct my paws carried me to my first mates territory. I ran across their border. Two vampires joined me on my run I wasn't sure if they were escorting me or sizing me up so I kept my guard up.

I slowed my pace when I came to the house. I didn't wait for anyone to come and greet me instead I smashed through the doors. Maids stopped and looked at me, and I ran past them. A few vampires tried to attack me and their attempts were futile. I followed Salems scent up to his room. I heard noises coming from behind the door, "Go in there Des" Felan whimpered. I smashed through the door and my heart stopped.

I saw my mate in bed with another woman. I whined and growled at them. Felan was howling in my head and a hole appeared in my heart. "Destiny?" Salem said, I growled at him and ran out of the room. I heard him calling me but I kept running.

I ran all the way to the cliff face without stopping. This cliff face was in between my territory and Salems. I howled in pain, loud enough so both territories could hear me. I continued to howl for a few minutes before I looked at the drop below me. "Do it." Felan whispered. We had been rejected by both our mates. My true mate in bed with another woman and my second chosen mate saying he loved another.

I heard people running towards me, I turned to see Salem and Ash looking at me. Both had people behind them. I shifted back and they tried to reach for me. "I'm sorry." I whispered to them and then I stepped off the edge. My hair whipped around my face wildly as I fell. I heard them cry out for me. And I closed my eyes and accepted the darkness to take me away.
