Agressive By Nature (Book Two)

Chapter 13

I opened my eyes, the once full dining room was no longer there. All that surrounded me was blackness. I got up on unsteady feet and stumbled forward. "Hello?" I yelled into the void, no response came and I stumbled onward. Nothing was around and fear consumed me. "SOMEONE? ANYONE? HELLO?" I screamed into the void. 

"Stop yelling" A voice as cold as ice responded, I spun around to come face to face with a man with flames where his hair should be, his eyes were as black as the void and his skin was paler than anyone id ever seen. The blackness was replaced with a setting of what resembled hell. But I was shocked to see no fire, or red anywhere. It was mainly black and blue, The man I turned to was oddly attractive but there was a mysterious aura about him. 

He motioned for me to sit, and I cautiously did. "I am Hades, god of the underworld" I gasped, "Am I dead?" He chuckled, "No you are not dead." I looked around the room, we were in an office type thing it was comforting me for some reason. "Destiny, why did a Lamia (Vampire) want me to kill you?" I sighed, "I as in a Lamia household, and I was the only Lupus (wolf)  there." He nodded in understanding.

"Please just kill me and get it over with." He shook his head, "I am not going to kill you." I looked at him in shock. I went to say something but he silenced me with his hand, "I know your mother, she is the moon goddess, a very good friend of mine. I am to bestow you with your powers." I'm sure if I was a cartoon character from the looney tunes show my jaw would be on the floor.

He got up and came over to me, "The only thing with the powers I am bestowing you with is that they are not heaven-like powers, these are powers that the devil would give, unfriendly and dangerous, but you will be able to control them as you have been touched by a god, but you will change, your nice personality will fade, but not completely, you will be crazy and feed off fear." His hand went to my head and he played with my hair. A few strands turned blue, like the cool flames on his head.

My hair became blue, black and white. The blonde locks no longer flowing. I looked like a evil Elsa. Power surged through my body and the hot blood in my veins now pumped with a cooling effect. Hades looked at me "I have bestowed you with power only the gods would give, my brother Zeus will accept me back in Olympus, but I want to remain here in the underworld. Call me when you need something love." Then he kissed my forehead and the blackness reappeared, Hades was gone and I saw my mother. "I love you Destiny." "I love you too mother."

Salem POV (While that scene was going on^)

"Bye" he said and she dropped to the floor, her beautiful eyes closed and her skin was pale. I hissed at Adrian. "That was unnecessary!" I shouted and ran towards my mate. I grabbed her body and pulled her close. Her heart was no longer beating and she was dead. But I felt no emptiness in my body.

"Salem put the mutt down! Shes poisonous!" Adrian shouted at me. "FUCK YOU ADRIAN! Get out of my house!" I screamed at him. Everyone was watching our exchange and I wanted to kill them all. Kate came over and touched Destiny. "Oh my goodness Des!" She cried over her friends body. I gave her to Kate and got up to face Adrian. 

"Why do you care about that mutt?" He questioned. I hissed lowly, "That 'mutt' saved my coven, that 'mutt' saved your daughters life, that 'mutt' is the love of my life!" Everyone gasped at my last words. Adrian paled more than usual, "Thats not possible, your mate cant be a mutt, you are one of the most powerful vampires to live and you have a mutt as a mate." He sneered at me.

I was about to punch him when Kate gasped, "Oh my god! Salem look!" I turned to see what she was talking about and Destiny's hair was no longer blonde it was black, blue and white. Everyone gasped and looked with interest. Adrian gasped "She is dead that can't happen, I called upon Hades to kill her!" Her eyes opened, "Well turns out Hades doesn't accept requests to kill family!" She growled at him. Fear came onto me because I swore she was dead. Her eyes were locked onto Adrian, and her eyes were white. She had the most sadistic look on her face and everyone was consumed by fear

Destiny's POV

My growl was terrifyingly loud. And I could see fear flash on the face of the man now known as Adrian. The fear was mirrored on everyone's face at the 'dead' girl that came back to life. I growled at him again, "Leave" was my only command before they could run I screamed at them "Tell anyone and i'll kill you myself and enjoy every bit of it" and everyone ran for their lives. I saw Adrian escaping through a door and my instinct made me raise a hand, the door slammed shut in his face.

He turned, "No no not you Adrian, we are going to have some fun first." I chuckled evilly, Felan laughing like a manic as well. "P-please" He begged me. "P-please what Adrian?" He was almost in tears and I was feeding off the fear he emitted. "Why did you banish me to Hades? What did I do wrong?" He shook his head "nothing, I was just trying to protect the vampires." I nodded in understanding, "Very well, you may leave." He ran out of the door and I turned to see Salem and Kate, slightly sacred but looking at me in awe.

I smiled and hugged Kate, "thank you for a killer night Kate." She chuckled "Anytime party animal." I smiled again and touched her forehead "This will give you a direct link to me and Salem, anytime you need one of us call through your mind." She nodded in awe and then left.

I turned to Salem, he stepped closer and wrapped his arms around me, inhaling my scent. "Destiny I thought you died" I moved his face so I could see his eyes, "I thought I did as well," I wiped away the tears on his face as they fell. I touched his forehead, giving him access to mine and Kate's link.

He smiled down at me, "I am in love with you Destiny" But his smile vanished "But we cannot be together, the elders will never allow it, they will kill you." He pushed me away and I growled at him, "I'll kill them first." He shook his head, "Destiny it's better for us both if you stay away from me." I growled again, "no one can keep me from whats mine." He shook his head and left.

I dropped to the floor, and let the tears flow freely. I barely registered Kate come and sit with me. "I could feel your sadness though our link Des" I nodded. "I'm sorry Kate, I just, he's my mate and I can't be with him." She nodded, "I will help you change that." I looked at her, hope shining in my eyes.

"Really?" I questioned. "Really" she confirmed. I finally had a true friend. "Kate we will leave at sunrise, when everyone is asleep. Be in my room before sunrise and steal some car keys, we need transport." She nodded, "I'll be there." With that she left and I made my way back to my room. I got dressed into some baggy clothes and washed off the make up and unpinned my hair. I then set my alarm for early and laid down on my bed.

Felan was making to much noise in my head so I shut her out and sung a lullaby that my mother used to sing for me.

"Lullaby, and good night, in the skies stars are bright.
May the moon's silvery beams bring you sweet dreams.
Close your eyes now and rest, may these hours be blessed.
'Til the sky's bright with dawn, when you wake with a yawn.

I closed my eyes and let the memories of my mother come forth, and I fell into a peaceful sleep.
