Chapter 25

The performance went by so fast I don't even remember it, I only remember keeping my eyes on Shawn because that's what makes me feel safe. He's younger than me but something about him, maybe his positive attitude, makes him feel like a shelter to me. When we finished singing the crowed went absolutely crazy, and I left the stage to let Shawn perform a few more songs by himself because let's be honest, that's what people came to see.

"You did amazing" Matt said as soon as I walked backstage

"Thank you" I said and emailed at him, I looked down at my phone and saw my sister had sent me a text that said the exact same thing. Still not sure if I should be worried about her and Taylor.

After Shawn finished performing it was time for our lunch break so we all went to some random burger joint. I found myself seated at the end by Shawn. "You did so well you're so good" I told him, he thanked me and started asking me about home and school.

"I'm excited for prom with chase but honestly I'm ready to graduate and get the hell out" I said and he laughed

"Slow down you have to spend the whole summer with us before you're really free" he said which made me smile.

"I honestly don't understand how you perform all the time it's so scary" I said

"Yeah I could tell you were scared by the way you kept making me kiss you" he said and hit me with his elbow.

"I'm sorry about that honestly I don't know what's come over me lately, maybe I shouldn't join y'all for the summer" I said and looked down

"I understand the nerves and I don't think you kissing me has been any more than that. I value your friendship Taylor" he told me and looked me dead in the eye.

I'm glad no one is paying us any attention because I probably look like a deer in headlights. "Thank you Shawn that means a lot, I love having you as a friend" I said

"And don't let Cameron and Jack scare you off. Even if you don't end up with one of them, they will get over it. This summer is going to be fun and performing does get easier" he said and I kinda got stuck on how he picked up on cam and me as well and Jack and me, but I didn't mention that.

"It better get easier it's so nerve wracking" I said

"Well for some people it gets easier, you're kind of an oddball" he said and I laughed. I'm glad things aren't awkward with Shawn and I because we've kissed a few times.

My phone buzzed and I looked down to see a text from Cameron 'Are you alright? You and Shawn look to be having deep conversations down there' 

I shook my head at the fact he was texting me across the table 'yes I'm okay but we need to talk.'

I looked up and Cam nodded at me, so I looked down at my lap to feel less uncomfortable. "What do you think Taylor?" Someone said and I snapped my head up.

"What?" I asked

"What did you think of today?" Jack J asked

"I think I'm going to be really bored once you all start meeting fans" I said and he nodded. I'm not good at being positive, I told myself and chuckled.

The rest of the day went by super slow and I had been correct, I was bored. So was my sister so she just straight up left me and won't text me back at all. Thankfully it was finally about time to head back to the hotel where I could shower and put on a t shirt and Nike shorts.

When we got back to the hotel, I did just that. I let the hot water soak up all the thoughts and when I got out I put on a big t short and Nike shorts. I walked over to my bed and saw a text from Cameron that said 'come to my room when you want to talk.' 
 
I set my phone down and took a deep breath, I'm really nervous. I brushed my hair and braided it then headed up to Cameron's room. "Here goes everything" I said as I knocked on the door.

"Hey" he said and opened the door wide enough for me to come in "what did you want to talk to me about?"

"I am not allowed to be mad at you because you kissed that fan" I told ho land he looked confused

"Yes you are but I promise I didn't kiss her, she kissed me and I-"

I cut him off "no" I said and took a deep breath "I mean I can't be mad at you because I kissed Jack" I said and I felt my stomach drop.

Cameron didn't say anything, something in his eyes just went dark. "Please say something" I said after a minute, but his only response was the sound of his fist cracking the drywall as he punched the wall of his hotel room.
