Jack's POV

I ended up staying overnight at Mark's place. Mark and I were just about ready to walk to school when I got a text from an unknown number.

Unknown number: Jack, meet me in the boys bathroom on the second floor before school starts.

"Everything okay?" Mark asked. I quickly put my phone back in my pocket. "Yeah, I'm fine," I lied, and we continued walking to school.

When we got there, we started heading to the cafeteria for breakfast like we normally do. "You know what, Mark? I- I'm gonna have to catch up with you later. I gotta take of something," He nodded. "Okay, I love you,"

. . .

Ah ha. Found it. I stepped into the boys bathroom on the second floor just like the unknown number had told me to. I saw Felix, smugly standing against the opposite wall or the restroom.

He got passed me and locked the door so nobody could get in. "What do you want?" I was so pissed at him.

He walked over to me. "Jack, I know,"

"Know what?" I was getting anxious.

"How long do you think you can't keep this a secret from Mark? It's getting hotter and you're gonna have to take that sweatshirt off,"

My eyes started to water. "How do you know?"

He laughed. "That's none of your business. The point is, either you're gonna tell Mark your big secret, or I will,"

"Why are you doing this? Why are you trying to ruin mine and Mark's relationship, you fucking asshole,"

Then I blacked out for a second. Felix punched me in the side of my face. Tears streamed down my face. I could already feel the bruise forming. Everything stopped, I thought he was done with me, he then proceeded to kick me where the sun don't shine and left me there.

I was left on the floor sobbing. Everything hurt. I couldn't breathe.

Mark's POV

I was looking for Jack for what seemed like hours. Where could he have gone?

"Hey, Felix, since you seem to know a lot, have you seen Jack?" He shook his head no. "No idea,"

Jack's POV

I mustered up the strength to get off the bathroom floor. I look in the mirror. I saw tear stains and a massive bruise. I sighed.

I couldn't tell Mark, not today anyway. I had no other choice but to just ditch school and go home.

I ran through the crowds that were coming into the hallways.

I was out of breath by the time I reached home. I opened the door to see my mother. She should've been at work by now.

She saw the massive bruise and me crying. "Oh my God! Jack! What the hell happened to you?!"

She came over to try and get a better look, but I ignored her. "Mom, I'm fine. Don't worry about it,"

I went up to my room, slammed the door, got buried under the sheets of my bed and started crying.

I ended up crying myself to sleep.

I woke up the next day to see I had several messages and missed calls from Mark.

Mark: Jack, where are you??
Mark: Are you okay? Please answer me.
Mark: Jack, baby, just please tell me you're okay.

I ended up not going to school the next day. Instead, I locked myself in the bathroom and made more scars.

. . .

Mark's POV

I was sitting alone at lunch, fiddling with my hair. I was so worried about Jack. He is my everything.

I felt somebody sit next to me. I didn't bother to look, since I knew it wasn't Jack.

It was Felix. "Hey, Mark," I didn't say anything back.

"Listen, Mark, I'm really worried about Jack too. I actually saw him in the boys bathroom the other day cutting himself,"

My eyes widened as I looked up at him. "I swear to God, Felix, if you're joking," He interrupted me and said he wasn't joking.

I was in complete hell the rest of the day. I wasn't paying attention in class. My mind was just focused on Jack.

. . .

Jack's POV

I got a text from Mark.

Mark: Come outside.

I was not ready for this. My parents weren't home, so that took some stress off of my shoulders.

I took a deep breath and opened my front door. Mark was standing at the edge of my lawn.

It started to pour down rain. "Mark, come inside, you're getting soaked!"

He didn't move and tears streamed my face. I decided to just go out there.

"Jack, let me see your arms," I stammered, "No, Mark, I-" Mark pulled up my sleeves and I started sobbing. "Mark," The look on his face tore me apart. He probably hated me now. "Jack, why the fuck would you do this to yourself?!" He kissed my arms and hugged me tightly.

"Baby, promise me you won't do this again," This was a pretty big promise that I doubt I could keep, but I would try because I loved Mark. "I promise," He smiled. "Now what happened to your face? How'd you get that bruise?" A massive lump in my throat formed. I didn't know how to tell him. "Uh, Felix, uh, punched me in the face. He said if I didn't tell you about my scars, he would," Mark looked pissed.

"Son of a bitch! Alright, where does that fuck face live?" I stopped him. "Mark, don't. It's fine,"

He hugged me again and kissed my neck. "Let's go inside," He said.
