I know this isn't much. Just a small start. But wanted you guys to know I'm still here and writing. I hope to get back on track with updating soon :)
Chapter One
10th Century - A small village, later known as Mystic Falls
He watched her, her long dark curls shining in the sunlight, her pale skin beautiful in contrast. He was hidden amongst the trees, knowing his father had forbidden him from coming here and knowing she had told him to stay away. He didn’t understand why. Yes, this girl wasn’t human. But she was beautiful; he’d never seen anyone like her. He wanted to spend time with her and he knew she wanted that too. And as far as his father was concerned, he’d never really cared much for Mikael’s rules. His father loved control and power and he wasn’t going to give him that.
She picked up the sides of her blue dress, the colour so similar to her eyes. She was perfect; he didn’t care what she was. How could his parents call such beauty a monster?
He stepped slightly away from the cover of the trees; he wanted her to notice him. And in seconds, she did. Her bright blue eyes instantly spotted him and she smiled. A smile he could never forget.
Present Day – Denver, USA
The sun was shining through the gap in the curtains. She groaned pulling the covers over her head. She could hear the sound of clanging dishes in the kitchen below, no doubt her dad was trying to cheer her up by making her favourite breakfast. But pancakes weren’t going to change the fact she was starting yet another new school.
She sighed and reluctantly pulled off her duvet. She shivered slightly as the cold morning air hit her skin. Dragging her bare feet on the carpet, she headed to the bathroom.
I also have a small chapter finished for later on in the story. I never write in order. So if you want me to upload that as a teaser let me know xD
