The Witches Snake

Chapter 4

Ceil and Amelia began to dance. Then they started talking. "Do you despise the man who killed your family, do you long for revenge?" Ceil looked straight into her blood red eyes.

"Wha-? Despise is a very strong word." She smiled lightly and sweetly. "I don't dwell on revenge and I don't despise him. I do wish that the queens guards find him and bring him to justice so he doesn't hurt anyone ever again." Ceil gasped. Could this be the same girl that I remember? He questioned himself. Amelia took her hand off his shoulder and lightly touched his eye patch. "Is this from the fire?" Ceil nodded slowly and looked down. She smiled and hugged him. "You know what your problem is," she let go of him and dragged him to the other room. On her way she grabbed Alois. "You both don't depend on anyone." She started to twirl on her foot. Her dress span with her.

"What do you mean?" Alois asked. Him and Ceil stood still staring at the twirling girl with pink hair.

"Well, if you don't rely on at else someone to help you that person can't trust you. And if you are in dire need of help, I don't think anyone will ever help you both!" She stopped spinning and the rooms music stopped playing. She pointed her finger at them and winked. "Give that some thought while we now eat dinner." She walked away and sat at the head of a large table spit in two. One part was the guests and the other part was for Ceil, Alois and Amelia. Amelia raised her glass and stood. "In honor of my family, this party is for them!" She shouted. The guests cheered while Alois and Ceil only clapped slowly. "And I will be taking the role as the Queen's Cobra for my family!" Ceil and Alois nearly choking on their water with that statement. Daniel walked over to the three and bowed.

"My apologies that I wasn't able to be with you tonight my Lady. The kitchen was very busy." He stood tall and Amelia smiled nicely.

"No worries Daniel. Speaking of which meet my old friends!" She pointed to the direction of the two young boys. "This is my new butler Daniel." Ceil and Alois looked at their own butlers and nodded. "Oh! I almost forgot!" Amelia left the table and ran to the kitchen.

"So what are you?" Ceil asked as soon as Amelia was no longer in sight.

"I'm sorry but I shall not answer any questions about my Lady and i's personally life." He said with a straight face. Claud and Sebastian looked at Daniel with a deadly glare. Amelia finally came back with a large plate in her hands.

"Even butlers need to eat!" She said loudly with a smile on her face. She gave a smaller plate to Claud and Sebastian and put the large one on the table. "Human or not." She lowered her voice for that part. And her smile disappeared.

"Human or not? What's that suppose to mean?" Alois asked licking his fork of the contains on it. They two butlers took a bit from their food and gasped at Amelia's statement. Her cute and innocent smile turned into an evil and mean look. She slowly made her way to where she was between Ceil and Alois. She pulled Alois's tongue out and pulled the eye patch off Ceil's eye. On his tongue was a symbol quite like the one on her arm. Same with Ceil's eye. They all marked the contract with a demon.

"Oh, I think you both know just exactly what I meant." And stuck out her tongue and licked her top lip like usual. Ceil and Alois both stood in shock as the last time then saw her do that wasn't a very pleasant one.

Flashback

This wasn't a regular murder case. It was so challenging that she had called all three of her guards. The dog, the spider and the cobra. Ceil with his parents, Alois with Claud but Amelia with her family. This hasn't been the first job they have been on together. "Please no more searching!" The widowed woman begged Amelia's parents. "If you came searching, he won't be able to rest in p-" the woman's words were cut short with a blade to the stomach. This too wasn't the first time the Cannemo's have killed.

"What was that for!?" Ceil's mother shouted us his father covered his eyes from the horrid sight. But it wasn't good enough, he had a perfect view. Amelia bent down to the woman's poor body and pressed her finger in the blood coming from her stomach.

"She got in the way and was no help. If you ask me people that are annoying as her are expected to die!" Then Amelia licked her finger with the blood on it. "Well that explains her actions. She tastes bitter."

"Like her attitude!" Anthony chimed in. Andrew simply just kicked her. Ceil was to shocked to even move. Alois took a few stepped back. Amelia looked straight at Ceil and Alois and licked her lips on her special way. She then smiled at them.

End of Flashback

Daniel walked over to Sebastian and Claud. Amelia gave him a nod and he nodded back. "My Lady would know what you and your masters to left." He said emotionless. Ceil and Alois both stood up fast and walked quickly to the door.

"Aw, poor boys!" She exclaimed. "Enjoy the rest of the car ride home my friends. After all what did you expect, I am a cobra." She waved goodbye and sat back to finish her dinner while smiling and laughing with her guests.

As soon as they knew it the party was over and each guest left. "Daniel I wish to see the rest of the ride home from my guests. You said that poison works the same on humans as demons right?" He smiled and nodded.
