Your POV: You sat there waiting on the couch, you knew he would be home soon. He texted you not too long before saying that he was on his way home. You had found out earlier this morning you were expecting after buying a box of pregnancy tests. You and Josh have been together for five years now and it was a perfect time for you two to start a family, Josh loved kids and the way he spoiled his niece was so adorable. You couldn't wait to tell josh he was going to be a father. The excitment was building up inside all day, and you wanted it to be perfect so you made dinner which was home made tacos and you had an adorable plan as to hint to Josh the new baby.
You had bought a black baby outfit, and put a twenty one pilots sticker on the front and had a red beanie with it. You set it on the bed inbetween you and Josh's pillow hoping he would notice later tonight. The doorbell suddenly rang and in the midst of your train of thought you jumped, you walked to the door and opened it to see Josh sweaty and tired after working so long.
" awww, I love you babe." you said walking to him to peck him on the lips and shutting the door behind him. He smiled and wiped his head covered in sweat, " I love you too hun."
" I made dinner, Tacos" you said sounding more excited with each word. He breathed in deeply and made a pleasing grin, " Oh babe, your the best!" he said grabbing your arms and pulling you in for a kiss. After you both broke apart he looked down at you and gently pushed your hair behind your ear and kissed your forhead. " You are so beautiful, I'm so glad you are the girl I get to live with forever." he said still smiling at you. You laid your head down on his chest and he placed his hand on your head enjoying the feeling of being in the arms of your amazing husband.
The moment was soon broken and you both went to the kitchen to get food. You rushed to get your food as you were starving, honestly you were surprised with yourself because you like breathed in your food at the rate you were eating. Josh just kind of watched you in shock and amusment, probably wondering if you need to be sent to a hospital. " Are you ok babe?" he said sounding worried. " Oh yeah I'm fine, I just am really hungry right now." you answered trying to sound normal, truth is you were extremely nervous and excited about later and also experiencing pregnancy changes. He bent over and kissed your cheek and said, " just relax ok."
After you both ate you told him you were gonna take a shower and head upstairs. You had gotten into the bathroom and shut the door, you took a few deep breaths and closed your eyes smiling as you imagined what he would do when he found out. After about five minutes alone you decided to walk out.
Josh was sitting on the bed with his hands in his lap looking down at something, it was the onesie. He looked up at me slowly, his eyes were glossed over as if he was gonna cry. He stood up and walked over to me smiling slightly, and he asked quietly his voice breaking, " Am I gonna be a father?" I started crying a little smiling between my tears, I nodded " yes Josh, we are parents, there is gonna be another Dun." He pulled me into his arms and hugged me tightly and cried into my hair, " I love you, I cant wait to tell Tyler", he said very happy.
