I opened my eyes, and remembered where I was. I was so warm wrapped up in the silk duvet. Balz was nowhere to be seen; I knew he was in the bus as I could hear movement in the bathroom. I sat up and brushed through my hair with my fingers, I must look a mess. I sighed, still fully clothed and feeling groggy. Just then, the water shut off, and in came Balz with a towel wrapped around his waist.
"Morning sunshine" he said with a smile, and began going through drawers to find something to wear. I couldn't help staring at the steam rolling off his body as droplets ran from his jawline, down his tattooed body and connected with the towel. His make-up free face beaming in the light.
"Morning moonshine" I replied, realising how stupid that sounded. Urh, of all the things I could have said? He laughed, and returned back to the bathroom to change. I quickly sat up again running my hair through with my fingers.
"You look fine, stop worrying", I hadn't even realised he'd come out of the bathroom. I blushed at the compliment, as he climbed back under the duvet.
"I'm going to a show tonight, so I'll need to leave about 5" I sighed as I put my head back on the pillow.
"Plenty of time" he smirked and pulled me closer to wrap his arms around my waist.
We layed there in silence; I was just enjoying his company.
"Apart from the shop, what else do you do?" he asked quietly. I could feel his warm breath hit my neck which caused me to shiver.
"Well, that takes up most of my time. But I go to gigs, mainly JD's, and go to bars and stuff"
"Do you have any hobbies? Tell me what you like?" I love the fact he seemed genuinely interested.
"Um, I can play guitar, and I sing sometimes. Mostly in the shower" He laughed and sat up.
"I love wolves, and peanut butter. I want to get out of London and make something of myself. I'm just not sure what yet."
"If you can sing...show me" he asked.
"No way. Strictly shower only" I laughed but my smile faded when I realised he was serious.
"Please?" he begged.
I looked at him then shook my head. He nodded his, to which I shook mine back again. Eventually he gave up with a sigh and laid back down.
"If you want to get out of London so bad, why don't you?"
"Are you genuinely interested in all of this?" I shuffled around to face him. My face was inches from his.
"Yes" he laughed. "How else am I gonna get to know you?"
"Okay.. Well, there's Dixie to consider. She can't run the shop all by herself. It wouldn't be fair. And I wouldn't have the money to move to an entirely different country with no job set out" I sighed.
"I guess there's that"
"When do you go home?" I asked him, a bit saddened by the thought of him no longer being in this country. At first, he lost eye contact and looked around, then he returned his eyes to mine.
"We're here for another two weeks, then we return to the states. We don't have plans to return here for a while" I could see his eyes glisten.
"What're we doing here Balz? We're just going to get ourselves hurt." I asked honestly.
"We can still keep in contact. It's not like we will never see or talk to each other again. I'll be back soon enough" he replied quietly.
"I hate the uncertainty. I hate it... I like to plan things out, I like to know what's going to happen" I pleaded.
"If I could stay with you after tour, I would angel. But I have a home, just like you do"
"I'm sorry Josh, I just don't think I can go through this. I'm sorry. I have to leave." I quickly gathered my things.
"I know it's going to be tough for you, but have you thought that it might be tough for me too? Knowing that my feelings for you are a lot stronger than yours for me?" I stopped, tears threatening to prick at my eyes. I didn't turn around to give my answer, instead I stayed stood with my back to him.
"I just think it's pointless getting to know one and other if we're gonna be pulled away from each other in two weeks. We can't get close any more. I'm sorry" I still hadn't faced him, as I know it would make me upset. As I put my shoes on however, I did risk taking one look at him. He was looking at me as if he could see straight through me, as if in some sort of daydream.
"Please don't go.." he begged as I proceeded to the door of the bus. Again, I didn't turn around to face him, the most I could let out was a low and croaky 'I'm sorry' and stepped out from the bus to make my way home.
Oooh I hate myself for this ;( It was quite upsetting writing it!! But things always get better :) Poor Balz though. I wrote about 3 different chapters for this, and decided on this one, I was so stuck with ideas. But anyways, I hope you enjoyed!
