"Where are we going?" I asked Balz curiously.
"Not far from here. 10 minutes, maybe 15 minutes walk" he replied.
"But WHERE are we going?" I sounded like a bit of a kid I assume.
I'd decided to leave with Balz tonight. I felt safe enough in his company, and he didn't seem so much like a psycho murderer to me now.
"I'm showing you my life" he stopped me and put both hands on my shoulders. "Just stop asking the same question over" he laughed, and carried on walking with my hand in his.
"Your life?" I asked again. When he didn't reply I looked over at him to see him smiling to himself. His smile made me smile. It was contagious. I wonder what he means by 'life'?
We continued to walk for quite some time, 10 minutes, maybe more when we came to an opening; a carp park type thing. An empty one at that, obviously since it was 12:30am. Just one coach parked up, which we were now beginning to walk towards. Why the...?
"Where are we? I live in Camden and I've never seen this area before?" I said, looking around and gripping his hand tighter.
"I know just as much as you do, Chris would know, but he isn't here" he looked at me and smiled. So many questions I have for this man... We reached the door of the coach, and Balz untied my hand from his, and grabbed for the keys in his pocket. He then poked them into the lock and twisted till we heard a pop, opening the door. It was completely dark therefore I couldn't see inside. I gave him a cautious glance, and he lifted up my hand for me to start up the steps. 3 or 4 steps up, I hit flat floor, and stood whilst Balz closed the door behind him, plunging us into darkness. Everything went quiet and I was starting to become a bit scared?
"Balz...?" I whispered.
"Yes?" I heard from very close behind me. My heart pounded in my chest at the thought of not knowing where he was, I was afraid.
"Please, I'm scared." I said. Within seconds, I felt his warm arms envelope around my waist and pull me close. Even that small movement made me feel so much better.
"You have nothing to be scared about, I promise. I just want to say something before I turn the lights on" his chin was resting on the top of my head that was curled into his chest.
He continued.. "I know you don't know me very well, this is why we're here. I just wanted to meet somebody normal, someone who doesn't know who I am and won't treat me any differently. This, is my life. I'm not prepared to give it up" he said with so much concern, I was wondering what I'd gotten myself into.
"O..okay" I said. He then let go of me, and filled the room with light.
I saw..guitars, instruments, everywhere. I saw pictures in frames hanging on little pins. I saw a lounge, attached to a well kept kitchen. Does he live here? Those pictures were of him, with a lot of make-up on. The boys too... I looked around some more, standing in exactly the same place, still attached to Balz. I let go of him, and moved around to look some more. Guitar cases with labels attached 'Motionless In White'. I turned around and looked at Balz, who was now sitting on one of the leather sofas, watching my every move. I turned and walked through the bus. I saw beds for each of them, furnished with books, laptops and notes from loved ones. I then turned into a little bathroom filled with make-up, and the mirror was still misty and moist. That led to a rather large bedroom at the back, with a double bed, pretty much like a normal bedroom I guess. I stared at my surroundings with my mouth open. If I didn't know any better, this was a tour bus. Balz was a musician. I turned on my heels and entered the lounge where Balz was still sitting. He stood up as if he was going to say something but instead studied my expression.
"I..you..who are you?" I frowned.
"I'm Balz" he laughed.
"Oh come on. Who are you really?"
"I'm the keyboardist for Motionless In White. This is pretty much my home, and we're staying here in Camden before touring with a couple of bands" he replied.
"You're crazy! You know you could have just told me.. I have no idea who Motionless In White are. I wouldn't have treated you any differently!" I exclaimed.
"I wanted to be sure. I really like you, and I didn't want fame to get in the way of feelings" he said quietly.
Before he could say anything else, I ran over to him and hugged him tight. I hit him with such force he fell back onto the sofa. We both just layed there and laughed.
"You should warn me next time you're gonna do that" he laughed.
"Where's the fun in that?" giggling.
"So this doesn't affect anything? Because, you know..if things go any further, I'm gonna be on the road and you're gonna be here. Things could get fucked up" he pulled back and looked at me. My smile disappeared, and I thought about it.
"Well, things may not go any further, I think we're thinking too far ahead, don't you?"
"I guess so. Would you like something to drink? he asked getting up and walking to fridge. He turned around for an answer.
"I'd like to hear you sing again" I smiled.
He sighed, and brought out a guitar. He can play guitar too? Oh my. He began to play, looking like such a softy with an acoustic guitar in his hand.
"And I'd give up forever to touch you,
Cause I know that you feel me somehow,
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be,
And I don't want to go home right now"
The way he sang was so sincere, it really sounded like he meant what he was singing. I had fallen in love with his voice on the dance floor, now I'd just fallen in love with it all over again. When he finished, he put down the guitar and walked over to the fridge.
"Would you like a drink now?" he smiled.
"Uh..I would love one" I stuttered. He brought over a bottle of malt whiskey, and two glasses, pouring a little in one and handing it to me.
"What's wrong?" I asked. I was curious to know why he hadn't looked at me for a while.
"Nothing is wrong" he glanced at me quickly and took a sip of his drink.
"Then why won't you look at me when you're talking to me?" I said softly. I don't think I've done anything wrong...
"Er..I..I'm trying to stop myself from getting too close to you. It's hard, you know?" he smiled. Ii put my glass down on the coffee table infront of us, lifted his arm up and tucked myself in next to him. He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me in tighter. I felt so safe in his arms, I just didn't want him to let me go. Is that strange for how long I've known him?
"So, this is okay?" he laughed.
"Yes" I giggled. I placed my hand on his stomach, and stroked my hand up and down. I heard him sigh.
"Nope!" he said rather loudly, and pulled me into his lap. I was so shocked! But it was okay! He laughed and then kissed the top of my head. It was really hard not to lift my head up and kiss him on the lips, but however much I wanted to, I was not going to get myself hurt.
"I better be getting you back Miss Acey" he sighed softly.
"You don't have to..." I gave him a cheeky grin. He then wrapped my legs around his waist and stood up, supporting my back. He carried me into the big bedroom at the back of the bus and laid me down softly. His eyes were glistening, even with one white contact lense in they were still beautiful. I wondered what he was doing, but he rose from his position, and popped a DVD into the TV, and laid back down beside me.
