Alexus

After the random attack of the werewolf. John showed Jace and me to our cabin.
"It will just be you two in here." He says.
"Why's that?" I ask.
"Well we shouldn't even be alive but we are." he says. "Zeus, Poseidon and Hades weren't suppose to have children but they broke their vow."
"So who's your father?" I ask.
"My dad is Poseidon." he says. "I'll let you rest. There's a bathroom and extra clothes."
"Ok thanks." I say.
Jace was already in the bathroom.
I look around the cabin. It was pretty big compared to the other ones. There was two beds against the far left corner. I look up and I see stars and constellations moving around. Next to the entrance was a statue of Zeus.
I still couldn't believe that Zeus was our parent. The room was mostly blue. Jace comes out of the restroom looking better than earlier.
"Go choose a bed we probably have stuff to do tomorrow." I say.
He gets a bed and lays down on it.
"I miss mom." He says.
"I know I do too. I promise I'll find out whoever did that to her." I say.
I realise he had fallen asleep.
I go into the restroom.

I thought sleep couldn't have came any time soon but it did.

In my dream I was in my house.
"I'm the one who destroyed your house. In hopes to destroy Jace. But instead I got your mom." says a voice. It sounded like a female's voice.
"Who are you?" I ask.
Suddenly a face appears on the floor. Her eyes were closed and her mouth was closed yet still I could hear her talking.
"I'm Gaea. I'm everywhere. I can destroy that camp your at right now. I can destroy you and then my children will take over the world." She says.
"I won't let you." I say.
"But you will. Unless you want everyone you know, die right in front of your eyes." She says.
I thought of Jace and John. Wait why am I thinking about him?
I grab the nearest thing and throw it at her face. The vase goes right through and shatters on the floor.
She just laughs, bringing a cold shiver to travel through me.
She begins to disappear along with my dream.

I wake up to knocking coming from the door. Jace groans and turns over in his bed causing him to fall off it.
I stand up and open the door. The bright light blinding me.
"Hey um sorry if I woke you up but it's breakfast time." Says Aaron.
"Ok let me go change and wak up Jace." I say.
I close the door and grab clothes that were in the cabin.
Jace was already awake.
I grab some blue jeans and a black v-neck shirt. I put on my converse and run a brush through my hair.
Jace is wearing some basketball shorts and an orange camp t- shirt with his running shoes.
We walk outside surprised to see Aaron there waiting for us.
He walks us to the pavilion.
"During breakfast you can sit with anyone but during dinner you have to sit at your own table. Depending on your godly parent." He says.
He leads us to a table where John and Layla were sitting down at.
"Hi guys." I say nervously.
"Oh hi Alexus." Says John smiling.
Layla sends me a glare but manages to mumble a hi.
We sit down unfortunately I had to sit down next to Layla. I don't mind her but I feel like she hates my guts.
I grab my fork and stab a piece of fruit. I was about to put it in my mouth when I feel someone staring at me.
I look over at Layla and she was staring at me.
"Um is something wrong?" I ask. Putting the fork down.
"You coming to camp is what's wrong." She says. I look around and I see John, Aaron and Jace deep in conversation.
"I hate you." She says.
"Why?" I ask.
"Because your trying to take away John from me." She says. "And don't try to deny it I see how he looks at you."
"We are just friends. I'm not sure if we are friends since we barely met yesterday." I say.
"Good. I don't see what he sees in you. After all I'm daughter of Aphrodite." She says.
I couldn't help it but I got angry. Her eyes widen. I feel the wind pick up a bit.
The guys all turn towards us. Probably sensing the tension in the air.
"Is everything ok?" Asks Jace.
"Yeah everything is good." I avoid eye contact with them not wanting them to see I was still angry. The wind eventually calms down. I slowly start eating the fruit. Suddenly Layla gets up from the table and storms off.
"So what happened?" Asks John.
"Nothing we were just having a nice conversation." I say.
I look up and I see Jace I could tell he heard the conversation. That sneaky little punk.
"Layla got mad at Alexus." He says. My eyes wide. Oh no he didn't.. I send him a glare and he just gives me an innocent smile.
"What did she get mad about?" Asks John.
"She just didn't want me to take you away from her." I say.
"What?" he says.
I look at him and say," Don't you realise she likes you? That's the only reason why she hates me because she thinks I like you and that I want to take you away from her." I did not just say that.
I stand up and walk towards well I dont know where I was walking to but I wanted to be far away from them. Suddenly I felt a hand grab my arm making me spin around.
Layla was there mad at me.
"Stay away from him." She says. Her voice sounding different as if she was trying to control me.
"It's up to him if he wants me away from him." I say. Pulling my arm out of her grip.
"Why didn't the charmspeak work?" she asks.
"Maybe because it's broken." I say.
She slaps me across my face but before I could do anything. A girl gets in our way.
"Layla get away from her." She says.
She is about 5"4 with black hair and her eyes were a deep dark blue. Almost black. Her skin was slightly tan. She also had a sword at her side.
Layla storms off leaving us alone.
"Thanks." I say. "But why did you defend me?"
"Because I thought you needed help." She says. "I'm Blaze. Daughter of Hades."
"Hi I'm Alexus daughter of Zeus." I say.
"I have sword fighting lessons I'll talk to you later." She says. Suddenly anxious to leave. She walks off before I could say anything.
My face stung from the slap and just remembering it made me mad. I keep walking towards some trees. I realised they were woods. I hear something step on a branch. I turn around. I touch the charm on my bracelet and the sword appears. I keep walking backwards until I hit something I scream and the thing screams too. I turn around and point my sword towards them. I see it's just John.
"Holy shit Alexus you scared me."  He says.
"I thought it was something else." I say.  My heart still pounding.
I make my sword back into a charm bracelet.
"I'm sorry I was looking for you." He says. "I'm sorry about Layla. I didn't know she liked me. Until she told me a few minutes ago."
"Oh so I guess you like her back?" I say.
"I'm not sure. I mean she's pretty and everything but I'm not sure if I like her. I kinda like someone too." He says.
I bit my lip and look towards the ground. After a few moments I say.
"Well maybe you should tell both of them what you feel. Maybe then it could help you out."
"Yeah I think your right." He says. He grabs my hand. "Cmon lets get out of the woods. We don't want to attract any monsters."
I just nod trying to control my heart beat.
We end up coming to the lake that was close to the bottom of the hill. I realise we are still holding hands so I pull away blushing.
The water looks really clear. Suddenly some water sprays up and hits my face. I hear John laughing. I glare at him and feel a gust of wind, giving me an idea.
I smile at him and he smiles back. I summon a gust of wind enough to shove him into the lake. He falls into the water and then thats my turn to laugh.
He glares at me and suddenly a huge amount of water comes at me. I stood there drenched I was about to get mad at him when another idea occurred to me. I pretend to slip into the water and I stay under. I see John starting to panic he pulls me up and I fake being uncouncious.
"Oh gods I'm so sorry Alexus. I didnt know you couldnt swim. Please wake up." He says.
I start laughing.
"Dont ever do that again." He says.
I get out of the water. He gets out too and hes completely dry.
"How are you dry?" I ask.
"It's just a thing I can do if I concentrate hard enough." He says.
I walk towards my cabin getting some curious looks from people.
"Well thanks for getting me drenched in water." I say sarcastically.
"Your welcome. Hey there's sword fighting lessons in a bit if you want to join us. That way you can how to fight better." He says.
"Alright I'll see you there." I say walking into my cabin. I was about to get some clothes to change into when Jace says,"So you and John huh?" He was smiling.
I give him a glare and walk slowly towards him. He panicked and turned to run but ran straight into the wall. I pick him up and hug him.
"Ew no get away." He says. I start tickling him. "Ok ok stop I'm sorry!" he was trying to get out of my grip while tears ran down his face. I let him go and I said, "Dont ever say that again."
"Say what?" he says smiling.
"Nevermind." I grab some spare clothes and change in the restroom.
Couldn't wait to learn how to properly sword fight.
Once I walk out of restroom Jace starts saying," You like John."
"No I don't." I say. I wasn't even sure if I liked him or not.
"Cmon lets go practice sword fighting. Well I am your going to learn something less dangerous for now." I say.
"Aww why can't I kill things too?" He asks pouting. I swear this kid is going to drive me crazy.
