   "Where'd you move from?"

   "Atlanta." My eyebrows furrowed together. Why would she come aaallll the way from Atlanta to live in Philly? It pondered my mind as such, though I shook it off me, ignoring the thought.

"ATL ! yo they got some phat artists down there , word ." I said kicking the dirt beneath my feet .

"True , but uh it feels better up here . My mama and I was going through thangs and struggling hard , so she sent me up here to live with my aunt ."

"Damn mane . My father used to live up here with me , but he wanted to move down there , but I told him I ain't having that ! " Ro laughed , and I really looked at her smile , she was quite a pretty thang .

   "So what'd you do ?"

   "Well , we worked out some things with Ti's mama , and she let me stay with them , although I've been causing a bit of trouble lately ."

    "Well , Tionne your mama must be real welcoming ." Tionne flashed her a fake smile , I held in my laugh before I could see the block where everyone from school stood around drinking , smoking , and somebody bumping big daddy Kane .

    "You'll learn to get use to this b ." We were greeted by Faith , who pulled me and Tionne in for a hug.

"Hey y'all . Who's this ?"

"This is Rozonda , she just moved down here and works with me and Tionne ." Rozonda stretched out her hand and Faith shook it .

"I'm sure you'll fit in fine , I like your style , you're pretty dope ma ."

"Thanks ." She followed behind us , and we went to greet the crew . Known as Kim , Big and Tupac .

"Aye yo wassup Lisa Li , and TiTi." Big and I dapped each other up , and Kim and I exchanged hugs .

Then it went dead silent . There was so much tension , due to me and Tupac . I tried hard not to look at him , and you could tell he was trying hard not to look at me .

"So ummmm , y'all this is Rozonda , she just moved from ATL and she goes to school with us . "

Everyone greeted her and made her feel welcome , but Tionne of course was tripping .

"Girl why you being so salty ? " Kim asked Ti .

"Yo , ain't nobody being fucking salty ."

"Everytime somebody new comes around your ass always tripping dawg . Let loose , take down that ole 'trust nobody' mentality , she seem like cool people ." Big said while softly nudging Tionne .

"You right , she cool people but don't take down that 'trust nobody' mentality ." I said while shooting Tupac a quick glance . He kissed his teeth while waving me off .

Everyone went silent again , and it seems like we were all thinking the same thing cause at the same time we all tried to change the subject .

"So ma , I heard its dope down there in Atlanta . " Tupac said with a smirk stretched across his face .

"It is , just had a few bumps in the road so my mama sent me up here with her peeps ."

"Oh word . It ain't even shit out here , once I get out this high school thang , I'm going to Marin ." Big dapped him up .

"Nigga I'm going back to Brooklyn , my fucking roots dawg ."

"I'm going back to ATL , that just so happens to be where I'm from too . " Tionne said while shrugging her shoulders .

"I'm with Big dawg I'm going up to Brooklyn , be on that hood bitch shit . That's dope as hell ! Plus my dickhead father lives up there , man I'm set !" Kim said clapping Faith up .
