Tears fell to the floor as I lay on the ground. Everything was numb but somehow at the same time ached like I'd been hit with a bag of bricks...
I was alone in the bed room, shaking from the pain that consumed me. If I had just used the gun I wouldn't be in this situation right now. I heard a door open somewhere in the house and I froze.
"LA PD!" A man called.
"Search in those rooms," someone else said as footsteps were heard, moving closer and closer to the room I was in.
The door creaked open and two officers came in with guns drawn and flash lights shining.
"We've got someone in here!" One of them said. Everything was going blurry. There was blood everywhere. Sound faded and grew louder every few seconds. I must have blacked out because the next thing I knew, I was in an ambulance and the paramedics were sticking an IV into my arm.
