Chapter 2- So We're Good, Right?

-IN THE HOUSE-

(Melody's POV)

I just got in the house, and I started doing my homework. I felt really lonely... This was very pathetic. So after I finished my homework, I decided to make some chocolate chip cookies. Now, I can cook like it's nobody's business... THAT'S the truth. After I was done making them, I decided to bring them to Trey next door. I put them on a plate with a cover on them and walked next door to 2124. I knocked and some girl answered it.

Sophia: *Opens the door* Hello...

Me: Hey, is Trey home?

Sophia: Uh, yea... Come in...

When I stepped in, she closed the door behind me and called for Trey.

Sophia: By the way, what's your name? I've seen you around school before.

Me: Girl, how do you NOT know who I am?

Sophia: Oh right right right... You're MELODY... I got it...

Me: Yea... And you are?

Sophia: I'm Sophia... Trey's upstairs with Randy, Craig, and Jacob. I'm just chillin with Ja'Shayla and Sophie.

Me: Oh, is Sophie your twin sister or something?

Sophia: *Laughs* Actually no! But they're my best friends, though. However the way Sophie and I work, you'd THINK we were twins.

Me: *Smiles* Cool.

Sophie: You can come in the living room with us. I'll get Trey.

Me: Alright. Thanks!

I went into the living room and Sophia went upstairs. I saw Sophie and Ja'Shayla so I decided to introduce myself... Well... Unless they already knew who I was...

Ja'Shayla: *Looks at Melody* Hey, aren't you Melody?

Me: Yea...

Ja'Shayla: Well I'm Ja'Shayla, and that's Sophie.

Sophie: *Waves*

Me: Hi.

Ja'Shayla: So what brings you over, here?

Me: Well uh-

I was cut off by Trey, Randy, Craig, and Jacob coming downstairs. Thank GOD I didn't really have to explain myself. I put the cookies on a table and looked at them.

Trey: Hey... It's 2122!*Smiles and laughs*

Me: It's 2124!*Laughs*

Randy: Who's this?

Craig: This is Melody.

Jacob: She's the most popular girl in school. What is she doing, here?

Me: *Takes breath* Well I heard about their story, and I felt kinda bad. So I made cookies and brung it over here out of boredom.

Sophie: Wait? You're NICE? I always thought you were some rich spoiled brat...

Me: *Looks at her* Guess you didn't really get to know me...

Ja'Shayla: Really Sophie? REALLY?!

Sophia: Hey, I don't blame her... I thought the SAME thing!

Me: You sure didn't make it seem like it at the door...

Sophia: It's called ACTING, sweetheart.

Wow... Disregarding Sophia's LAST remark, I think I actually kinda like her... I don't think I've EVER met someone from school who treated me differently because of who I was.
