Matt's POV
Bleep, bleep, bleep!
"Damn alarm!" I croaked groggily. I hit the button to turn off my alarm and climbed out of bed. I slipped on some ripped jeans and a graphic tee. Today is the first of 12th grade. And I am not happy about it. Everyone is so happy and excited to see their friends or make a good impression for their school reputation. That's where the problem starts. I don't have and friends nor do I want them. I try my best to shut them out. I know they will end up hurting me like everyone else in my life.
I shake off those thoughts and jog down the stairs where I will most likely be greeted by a very emotional mother. Sure enough, I was.
"Oh, here comes my baby! Are you ready for your first day of 12th grade?" she asked with a warm smile.
"Yeah, of course," I say putting on a fake smile. I grab a Poptart from the pantry and my book bag from the counter.
"I can't believe that next year you will be out the house! What will I do without you?" she sighed.
"I'm sure you'll find something out, mom," I concluded giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Love you, mom."
"Goodbye, honey! Tell me about you day when you get home!"
I walked out the door and slung my bag over my shoulder. As I'm walking to school I stick my earbuds in and turn on my music to block out useless noise. When I reach the school's front steps I take out my earbuds to hear all of the girls talk about how much they missed each other over the summer.
"Oh my God! Jenna I have missed you so much! I wish we could have talk more during the summer!" said one girl.
"Yeah me too! But this summer was by far the best." Replied the other, presumably Jenna.
If you missed each other so much why didn't you bother to call each other?! Were you too fucking busy to just ask 'Hey wanna hangout at the beach today?' It would have taken 30 seconds! I scoffed, shaking my head slightly. But before I knew it I was on the ground with the contents of my bag scattered about the linoleum.
"Oh my God! I am so sorry!" a man apologized. He had brown hair and chocolaty brown eye filled with embarrassment and fear. I just kind of stared at him for a moment, getting lost in his eyes. He held out a hand and I took it, pulling me up. To hind my own embarrassment I glared at him hoping he would just leave.
After getting the hint, he left and I started to gather my stuff and continued to walk toward advisory.
Ryan's POV
I was raced down the hallway to get to my locker before he found me. I was panicking and I was not paying attention to where I was going. Before I knew it I was stunned and on the ground. I snap back to attention and get up off the ground. I see a slender, tall, and kinda cute boy with ripped jeans on the ground with what I thought was his binders and folders on the linoleum.
I held out a hand to help him up. When he took my hand it felt like electricity rushing up my arm. I obviously ignored that feeling. I mean I'm straight and I have barley even met this man! He then glared at me so I took the hint and continued to rush towards my locker before the first bell.
I reach my locker and grab the paper with all of the information. the halls start to empty out so I start to jog.
Brinnggg, brinnggg, brinnggg!
Shit! I need to be in advisory by now!
I start to run and reach the door of advisory. While the teacher's back is turned I swiftly walk and take my seat. My heart pounding. I look to my left. He was right there.
