                                                                                    Ryan's POV

"Calm down. Its fine," Matt cooed, slightly smiling, "Bye, Ryan."

     "Bye, Matt."

He turned around and continued walking. I put my hand in the pockets of my black Nike shorts and walked home. I usually listen to music, but not this time. I just walked home in silence with a stupid grin on my face.

When I got home, I threw my bag in the mudroom because I knew no one would be home anytime soon. I jogged up the stairs to my room. I turned on my laptop and saw that Daniel was online. I clicked on his screen name, THEcyndago, I honestly don't even know what that is... but I started to ring. It took a second for him to pick up. He was playing guitar.

     "Hey, Ry, what's up?"

"Eh, not much. Whatcha working on?"

"Oh, just a riff. Nothing special."

"Wait, hold on, 'nothing special'? Dude whenever you play, whatever you play, it always sounds like something special."

"Ha, well, thanks. But seriously, it's nothing special."

"Okay!" I remarked sarcastically, shaking my hands up by my ears.

"So, do you have any homework? I heard that calculus has some sort of practice assessment."

"Oh, I'm not taking calculus this quarter. So, no. Well," I paused, "I obviously have English homework."

"Oh, yeah, speaking of English, when are we meeting?"

"Um, we are meeting during study hall with Sarah, Mark, and.... Matt," I smiled at his name.

"Ah, ok. So how's -" he was cut off by a faint voice in the background, "Oh, shit. I've gotta go. Talk to you later Ryan."

"Bye, Danny," and with that, he ended the call.

                                                                                       Matt's POV

When I got home that night I was greeted not only by my welcoming mother, but some fresh cookies. She really goes out of her way just to keep me happy, and I love her for that.

"Oh, hi, honey! How was school?"

"Hey, mom. Oh, school was fine. Of course I have some project, though."

"Well, that's good to hear, Matty! I made some cookies to celebrate my baby's first day of 12th grade," she said, rubbing my shoulders, "Would you like some?"

"Yeah, sure, mom," I say smiling.

I grab a cookie from the large plate she placed in front of me. Who knew one woman could make such an array of cookies in 6-7 hours? Chocolate chip, raisin, oatmeal, sugar, gingersnap, snickerdoodle, M&M.

After our quick snack my mother and I talked about our day. About the walk to school, the girls gossiping, and, of course, the boy who knocked into me.

     "Oh, no! Was everyone ok?"

"Haha, yes, mom. Everyone was okay, I promise. No hard feeling, no broken anythings, everything's good. We talked this afternoon after school. And plus he is in my English class. His name is Ryan." I obviously hid my smile for....reasons...

                                                                                                A/N

Hey, guys! I have had MAJOR writer's block. I'm so sorry it took so long! I'll try to find a schedule for uploading. And 10 points to Grffindor if you get the MCR reference. I think I'll do that every chapter. Just for fun, ya know? If you want to leave constructive criticism in the comments, I'll read through them for your guys' "attention/entertainment" I think that's all for now... BAI!
