It had been a month since school started and Jocelyn's school life was going great. She was getting all her work done and turned in. She remembered her ID everyday. Jocelyn made a new best friend that had every class with her except literacy. Her name was Ashlyn. Jocelyn also started to talk to this girl on facebook that she had know for a while, but they barely talked, her name was Ava. The only problem was Jocelyn and John were having relationship problems. Calvin was mad at Jocelyn, but Jocelyn had no clue why. Whenever she tried to talk to him he called her a bitch or told her to get away. After school everyday Jocelyn had volleyball practice. On Wednesdays school gets out at 1:15, but practice doesn't start til 3.

They had an after school activity program you could go to, or you could go home and come back at 3. Jocelyn and John had been planning to go to McDonalds, because the after school program was boring and they both lived two miles from school. Jocelyn got told by a kid on the bus named Rob, that John was going to go ding-dong-ditching with him. Jocelyn didn't believe it so she called John and asked. He told her that he didn't know yet. This made Jocelyn very upset. She couldn't believe he was making it such a hard decision. Most guys would want to go with their girlfriends right? Well it came to the Wednesday they were supposed to be going to McDonalds, and John had not given Jocelyn an answer yet. Jocelyn found out that John had told Ashlyn that he wasn't going and made Ashlyn tell Jocelyn. Jocelyn didn't like how John was being. They had planned it for weeks, and now he bailed. She decided to just let it go.

Jocelyn, Zach, Zach, and Ashlyn went to McDonalds. They had fun and got back to school to go to practice. Zach and Zach were in Football, and Ashlyn wasn't in a sport so she went home. Jocelyn had completely forgotten about John being a jerk and had moved on with her life. Volleyball practice was great and the week went by.

The following week during school many people came to Jocelyn saying John didn't like her anymore, because she was too fat, ugly, and bossy. Jocelyn didn't know what to do she didn't want to be dumped like she had been with her previous relationships. They all dumped her for prettier and richer girls. Jocelyn really didn't do good thinking on her own so during volleyball practice she asked Jessica if she would help her decide. Jessica said she didn't know. Jocelyn showed Jessica the message that she had ready to send to John. She didn't want to send it til she knew for sure if she was going to dump him. She went to go to the bathroom leaving her phone on the bench. When Jocelyn returned her message was gone. She looked at her recent sent messages and someone had pressed send. She was devastated.

Jocelyn decided maybe this wasn't such a bad thing after all. Maybe it was destiny that made it this way. She thought she was over him. She acted like it everyday. She was ignoring him and flirting with other guys. Everything was good. Jocelyn and Ashlyn got to talking about John. Ashlyn thought John was flirting with her. Jocelyn was the jealous type, so she didn't like this much.

With things being so rough with John, Jocelyn was starting to fall behind on her grades. It had been a month since school started now and everything was good. Kelly came back to Pointer Lags again, and Jocelyn was excited to have her back. Ava and Jocelyn were talking a lot more and were getting to know each other better. Ashlyn was doing great in volleyball with Jessica. Time was going by fast.
