"Hurry up, honey! Mr. Sangster is waiting!" My mum shouted. I didn't answer and ran down the stairs.

"Nothing left?" I shook my head. I walked out and saw Thomas and his dad wait standing next to the car. I walked to the car and Mr. Sangster opened the door. Thomas and I sat in the back seat.

"Thank you, Mr. Sangster." my mum said. Mr. Sangster nodded and smiled. My mum waved her hand, and I replied. Then Mr. Sangster started the car and we went to school.

"Here, I brought you a lollipop. Yesterday, I was shopping with my dad, and then I saw it. I remember you, so I bought it." Thomas said.

"Thanks, Tommy," I took it and keep it in my bag. "I have something for you too, Tommy." "What's that?" he asked.

"I'll give it to you later when you're in my house." "Okay," We both smile at each other.

The school was over. Thomas and I walked to the gate and wait for his dad. "Are we going to be friends forever?" I asked.

"Yes, Lolly. You're my best friend." he replied. "And promise me you will not leave me?" I asked him again.

"I promise, Lolly." He tied his little finger at mine and we made a pinky promise. Not for long, Mr. Sangster came. He got out of the car and walked toward us. We ran and jumped to hug him.

"How long have you been waiting for?" Mr. Sangster asked.

"Just about 5 minutes, dad." Thomas replied. "Okay, are you hungry?" we both nodded. "What about ice cream?" he offered.

"Yay! I want a big chocolate ice cream!" Thomas said with his hand gestures in the air. "Me too!" I said louder than he.

"Okay, let's go there." Mr. Sangster opened the door for us and we went to a sidewalk cafe.

When we got there, we chose ice cream and sat at sidewalk tables outside this cafe. "Dad, Lolly will give me a gift!" Thomas said excitedly.

"Really? What's that, Lolly?" Mr. Sangster said curiously.

"Shh ... It's a secret Mr. Sangster." I put my finger to my lips. "She will give me that when I'm at her house." I nodded.

"All right, then quickly finish your ice cream, kids." Thomas and I ate it with passion and Mr. Sangster laughing at us. A few moments later, Thomas and I finished eating our ice cream.

"What is that, Tommy?" Mr. Sangster pointed ice cream close to his mouth. "I'll clean it up." I took a tissue and wiped his mouth.

"Thank you, Lolly." Thomas said. "No problem, Tommy." I smiled at him.

     "Mew,"

I saw a white kitten standing next to me. "Aww, she's so cute. Can I bring her, Mr. Sangster?" I said lifting the kitten.

"Make sure she doesn't belong to someone else." Mr. Sangster warning me before I can really adopted this kitten.

"I think she's a street cat, dad. We can adopt her, I think." Thomas pet the cat.

"Okay, then. Let's go home then," We all stood up and walked toward the car. The cat that I carry suddenly jumped and ran.

"Wait! Don't run sweety!" I ran after her.

"Lolly! Careful!" Mr. Sangster shouted. "You wait here, Tom." Thomas nodded, but still follows his father.

Mr. Sangster tried to chase me and I'm still running to catch a little cat. I didn't realise that I was running onto the highway. I heard the sound of the horn. I looked over and there was a truck drove into me. I shouted.

     "Lolly!!" Mr. Sangster shouted.

The truck tried to stop, but this accident was inevitable.
