Kyungsoo's POV
"Morning Soo!" I turned around to see Kai walking into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes sleepily.
"Hey Kai." I replied, turning back to continue making breakfast, sighing internally.
Seeing Kai that tired reminded me how exhausted I was and how I still ached from that fight with Leo. The cuts and bruises hadn't healed yet and I looked a mess but that wasn't the thing that bothered me the most; I'd lost to him. If it wasn't for Seo-yeon distracting him and nearly being killed herself, I'd be dead.
"Hey, you okay?" I was snapped back from my thoughts when I realised Kai was waving his hand in front of my face. When I shoved his arm away, he just laughed. "What're you thinking about, hm?"
"Nothing, just...nothing." I mumbled, trying to ignore him and carry on with what I was doing. It obviously didn't work. Why are my brothers so damn nosy?
"Come on, tell me," when I ignored him, he said something he knew would get a reaction. "Is it Seo-yeon?"
"No! Of course not!" I shouted, slightly embarrassed by my outburst, but he just crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow at me. I sighed. He really can be annoying sometimes.
"It's just..." I started, avoiding eye contact with him. "It's just bugging me a lot that...that I'd be dead right now, if it wasn't for her. I couldn't beat him, I bet I didn't even leave a scratch on him..."
"And?" Kai asked. When I frowned at him, he sighed, "There's obviously something else, you lose to me when we fight all the time." He smirked as I shoved him in the shoulder.
"Hey! This is supposed to be a serious conversation we're having here." I reminded him, causing him to laugh.
"You know I don't do serious." He smiled and I just turned back to making breakfast, shaking my head and trying to hide the smile creeping onto my face.
"So?" Kai asked, shaking my shoulders. I groaned internally as I turned to face him.
"Fine!" I said, annoyed. "I had a chance to kill him, okay? And guess what? I'm that much of a coward that...that I didn't do it! I had a branch over his heart and..."
Putting my hands on the edge of the counter, I put my head in between my arms and sighed, feeling my eyes starting to sting as tears tried to push their way out. Why was this bothering me so much? I could barely sleep last night because I was beating myself up about it.
"Hey." I felt a hand shake my shoulder. "Hey!" He shook my shoulder harder when I didn't move. I shook my head, clearing my thoughts, and turned back to Kai, who put his hands on my shoulders, shaking them lightly as he spoke.
"Not killing a man does not make you a coward," he said sternly. "It means you have a conscience. If you had killed him, that would make you a murderer. It doesn't matter if he's killed people and deserves to die. You'd still be a murderer. And do you want that?" I shook my head. "Thought not. Now hurry up and make breakfast, I'm hungry." He laughed as he headed for the door.
"I knew you couldn't be serious for too long." I sighed. He just laughed, heading for the dining room.

About five minutes later, I'd finished and walked into the dining room with a tray full with seven bowls. They all thanked me before starting to eat and didn't even notice there was someone missing.
"Guys? What about Seo-yeon?" I asked and they all looked around, realising she was missing.
"She must still be sleeping." Chanyeol muttered to nobody.
