On that fateful stormy night, a soul was taken. It was the universe's way of saying that it's time for a change. Time is not to despair what was taken away, but to realize what we can become after an alteration of life. Everything was already written even before we are all born. There is no accident in life, it's all in the essence of our strings. Death was no excuse to a miracle the universe created on that night. It was all permitted.

Elise Summerhall grew up to be a fine young lady. She was adored by many and was loved by a young man named Christopher Carlisle. He was set to go in med school and pursue his dreams of becoming a doctor like his father. For Chris, all he ever wanted was to give Elise all the things she ever dreamed of. A house with a white picket fence, a lovely music studio where she could teach kids on how to play instruments, a garden full of flowers and a small library where she could quietly read her books. Not a bad dream for a promising young lady.

In 1948, a storm hit a small town called Ashton. All of the townsmen went inside their homes for safe keeping. It was the strongest storm that ever hit the small town. It was as if danger was marching everywhere and only death will end everything. Elise was quietly sewing her older brother's red jacket when she accidentally pricked her finger with the needle she was using. She stared blankly at her injured finger as a small patch of blood slowly build its way up on her skin. In a bizarre moment, she heard echoes of a speeding car and two people fighting. She abruptly stood up with wide eyes as if she was hearing an entity. There was no one there. All of the neighbors are inside their houses. Her siblings were sleeping soundly in their respective rooms, her mother was doing the laundry and her father was down at the basement. She heard cries and shouting. It got louder and louder as if the argument was inside the room.

She couldn't take it no more and so... she screamed. She screamed while covering her ears with eyes closed, afraid of what she might see. She screamed until tears were falling down from her cheeks. Her mother came to her aid and grabbed Elise's arms as they run towards the bunker. That's when she realized the earth was shaking but not for natural reasons. Heavy armored bombs were falling from the sky. Threatening to kill all the innocent. Burning houses, and dead bodies were all over the town. That storm became a nightmare for everyone. It was shielding a strong force that cannot be stopped.

The Summerhall family where hiding in their bunker. There were loud thumping noises followed by debris covering the whole room as they all embrace for safety.

On that stormy night, a fighter jet was given coordinates to where he should land the bomb. This soldier has poor judgements. He was never the quickest nor the brightest, no medal of honor, no nothing at all. But for this mission, he was about enter something extraordinary that will result in what we call a miracle. The pilot positioned his fighter jet on the coordinates his superiors instructed him. But with a sudden distraction of the lightning, his location changed a little. The pilot's fascination for lights was hypnotizing and nostalgic. He would always remember why the sun should disappear in the night. His reason was because other sources of nightly lights were more intriguing than the morning light. He smiled as he closes his eyes and bowed his head. In the spur of the moment, lightning flashed across his jet which startled the pilot. He suddenly noticed that he was pressing down on the button of the bomb.

His bomb was landing on the wrong coordinates, his bomb was landing on top of the Summerhall's bunker. His bomb was to kill a family and it was too late to stop it.

You can count how many seconds the bomb would land on that poor family's bunker with no lives to spare. But that's the funny thing about time and the universe, it's augmented. It has a lot more to offer, it can change everything with just one snap... for a price.

Imagine the bomb in slow motion.

Imagine it spinning.

Imagine its target.

Imagine the family under the bunker... imagine their cries, their love for one another, their sweet kisses and goodbyes. Imagine how it feels to leave a loved one. Can you feel their embrace? The gravity of their emotions, have you felt it?

Now, picture Elise and the bomb.

The young lady knew that it was the end. She looked at her mother and father and said in a loving soft voice, "I love you. Till the end of time."

Everything started with the flash of light. As the tip of the bomb flashes its mighty slaughter, Elise Summerhall disappeared.

She reappeared on a road drenched and dumbfounded.

Everything happened so quickly, a speeding car was headed towards Elise. The driver was aggravated with its passenger and was not fully aware of the road.

"I'm done!!! I'm done with you! You hear me??" said the passenger while hitting the driver with her fist.

"Stop it!!" commanded the driver with a stern look. "You are not doing this to me again! I'm sick and tired of your rant, your voice, and your stupid excuses!! You want this to be over? Then—"

In a glimpse, everything that we see and everything that we feel will change in an instant. One string will be broken and another will appear.

The car almost collided with Elise but in a split second the driver managed to avoid her but not the collision with fatality.

A soul was taken on that stormy evening. Yelling sirens, cries of a distraught mother and the trails of blood like a carpet ready for the grim reaper.

"An invisible red thread connects those we are destined to meet. The thread my stretch or tangle but it will never break because we are all connected from the beginning."
