"Annabeth turn on channel 10 now," Percy said over the phone.
Annabeth turned on the news. There was a bombing and mass shooting at the superbowl last night.
Over half in attendance were dead.
"Only three of the players survived: Joey Lasman, Valentino Romana, and Frank Zhang," the newscaster said.
"Oh thank God," Annabeth said.
"Some known names from here in Manhattan who were in attendance like Reyna Arellano, from the lawfirm in her name and Socialite Hannah van Wells did not survive the tragedy."
"No," Annabeth said, "No, No, No, No," she sobbed.
Reyna was one of her closest friends.
And now she didn't have a lawyer to help with Sammy's case.
No lawyer. One of her best friends gone.
Annabeth just sat on her sofa and cried. It was all she felt able to do.
