Today was the first day of college and I wasn’t quite ready yet. You see I had to leave my family just to come here and they weren't just a few minutes away no they were hours away.
I missed them so much but I promised I would go and see them during the holidays and breaks.
My mom wanted to drive me to school but she had to work the next day and she couldn’t handle sending me off. She wasn’t ready to see her little boy go off but I’m glad she has Jackson.
Jackson is my mother’s new boyfriend. She had been single for so long after my father died that she vowed to never date again, but I guess Jackson came along and changed her mind.
I got out of my car and made sure to lock it. As I was walking up the stairs to the dormitory I accidentally bumped into someone.
“Sorry!” I bowed at the person. I looked up to be met with a boy with a pair of stormy eyes. The boy stared at me for a moment before finally talking. “Just watch were you're going next time.” I nodded and hurried up the rest of the stairs.
“Taeil!” I was suddenly pulled into a strong embrace. I didn't even have to look up at the person. I already knew who it was. “Hey Winwin!”
I patted his back and he slowly let go of me. “I was scared you weren’t coming for a minute there.” I laughed.
“I told you I would be running a few minutes late since I drove all the way here.” He shrugged. “Have you figured out who your roommate is yet?” I shook my head.
“Do you mind showing me where the office is?” I was still new here and I haven’t had a chance to visit the college yet. “Come on I’ll show you.”
Winwin laced his arm through mine and we both walked towards the office. We made it there in about ten minutes. It didn’t take us too long since we came in from the front of the building.
I made my way into the office to see plenty of other people waiting there as well.
I took a seat on one of the couches and waited to be called up. Since I knew it was gonna take awhile I decided to check out all the other people. I scanned the crowd but no one really stood out to me. They were all stuck in their own little worlds.
“Ah Lee Taeyong?” I noticed the same boy from earlier get up and make his way to the front desk. “You will be staying on the 3rd floor room 201. You’ll have a male roommate since we don’t trust girls and boys sharing a dorm.” She typed in a few things on her computer.
“Okay your roommate will be Taeil.” My eyes widened. He didn’t know I was Taeil yet so that bought me some time. Or at least it would have if Winwin didn’t practically scream my name.
“Taeil! You won’t be rooming with me. You get to room with him.” He was practically whisper yelling. “Winwin can you please shut up!” I whispered. He just scoffed.
Well since I already know what room I'm staying in I don’t need to be here any longer. I grabbed my suitcase and was practically out the door before I heard someone yell my name.
“Taeil! Hyung you almost forgot your phone. I turned around and glared at WinWin.
At this point everybody was looking at us and when I mean everybody I mean him too. I could feel his eyes watching me, almost searching me but he didn’t say anything he just kept quiet. I quickly grabbed my phone and made my way out of the office.
I slung my backpack off of my shoulder and grabbed my map of the school. Since I was by the office that means that the stairs were on the other side of the room.
