I wake up to the sun beating down on my face. It's morning. I feel a sharp pain in the back of my head. I feel around. There's definitely blood. I try to move but my body felt paralyzed. I tried to move my leg but an intensely sharp pain flowed from my shin to my knee to my hip and up my spine. This isn't good. And then it just gets worse. I hear a scurry in the distance and a small raspy breath. I am enough muscle movement to turn my head in the direction it heard it come from. What I saw I will never forget. (Emma's drawing) the creature stared at me with empty eye sockets. It's mouth seemed to go from ear to ear, lined with sharp jagged teeth. It's pale skin seemed to reflect the sun. But it's arms and legs were so hideous deformed. Elbows pointed in an unnatural direction. The creature inched towards me. I tried so hard to move. Closer. My body started to shake from both pain and fear. Closer. I hear more footsteps in the distance.  Closer. The creature reaches out its hand, claws ridiculously long. One last step and its face hovers right over mine. It doesn't that terrible screech again. I shudder. The foot steps move faster. Like running. I can hear a man yelling the creature looks behind me and screeches again. This time I hear a loud thud. And the creature falls. Someone grabs me and picks me up. I hear another screech before I could see his face. And he starts to sprint with me in his arms.
