Once I make it back to the camp everyone looked at me astonished. I glared at Justin. "funny fucking joke" he looked at me confused and a small hint of anger flinched on his face. "What are you talking about dude"
"You had my glasses the whole time. Fun little prank you played back there". He didn't even look mad anymore. He honestly looked concerned. "Joel. I was here the whole time. Ask the girls" I look at them and they nodded their heads in agreement. "oh. Then. Who handed me my glasses?" I felt my heart skip a beat. Seconds from a panic attack I sit on my knees. "sorry" I choke out. Justin came over and wrapped his arm around me. "hey. It's okay. Maybe it was a Fisherman." I felt an almost instant relief. That seemed accurate. No sure where he ran off to. But. I brushed that from my thoughts.
Time seemed to pass fast. It was soon nightfall. Everyone was asleep but having sleep Insomnia is a bitch so I was up looking into the fire. Bored I decided to take a small walk. I grabbed my flashlight and my knife and walked north of the creek. I walked until i found the log I fell from. Something in the air seemed unsettling. I looked in the woods with the light. Nothing. Behind me. Nothing. Further north. Nothing. Then I heard a scratching sound come from the log. Startled I flashed my light over to the log. Something came into view!! Oh. Just a coon. I sigh in relief. But I calmed to soon. Something on the other side of the creek in the trees moved to fast for me to see. Whatever it was has me running back to camp. All I remember seeing was pale white skin. As I was running there was a screech coming from behind me. I turn around to see a bright pair of eyes looking me dead in the face.
