Chapter 2 A New Friend?

I decided to go talk to Smudge about my dream. I knew she could help me. Or she knew someone who could. I trotted out to my garden. I jumped on top of the fence and began to walk down to Snaudge's house. I finnaly made it to her garden. I hopped down into the garden and scratched at her door. She came running up to the door when realised it was me.

"Sunny!" Smudge called as her owner let her out. She bounded forward and started nuzzle me like I was a kit or something.

I shrugged her off and greeted her with silent nod. "I need a favor." I said.

She looked blankly at me for a moment, then she cocked her head to the side as if to say well get on with it ask me like I was supposed to know that's what she meant.

"I had a dean last ni..." I stopped abruptly as she held up her tail to silence me.

"Say no more my dear friend. I know a cat." She said bluntly.

"I know that's why I came to you." I responded.

She seemed to be satisfied with my answer because she started to walk away. I didn't move, when she realised I wasn't following she turned to look at me and flicked her tail for me to follow. So I did. She led me a towards the tree line of the forest and came to stop. She turned to face me.

"We have to go through the forest to get to him, is that ok with you?" She asked, probably thinking I was afraid to go there.

"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?" I snapped back annoyingly. Just for funnies.

She looked at me in an agitated way and started walking again. Flicking her tail inducting for me to follow she started to trot through the forest. Every paw step getting us closer to her friend.
