lilah's pov:

the sound of heels clicking on the wooden floor of my apartment indicated that joselyne had come in without waiting for me to get the door. it was always the same with her, but i honestly didn't mind.

i got out of bed to greet my best friend, she was already in the kitchen looking for a glass of whatever she wanted.

"hey joselyne." i said, entering the kitchen.

"oh, hey lilah." she said with a smile. "i thought you were sleeping still."

"well, i was up. i just wasn't out of bed yet." i replied laughing.

"ah, sounds like you."

i went over to the stools on the counter and sat comfortably.

joselyne looked at me with widened eyes.

"what in the world are you doing, lilah?"

i shrugged, confused. "sitting down, joselyne."

she got closer to me and sighed.

"honestly lilah, you're so forgetful. today we're going out again, remember?"

realization dawned to me once she said that.

"oh shit, i'm sorry josy. you know i love to forget some things." i smiled sheepishly at her.

"sweetie, more like everything!" she laughed.

i laughed along with her, considering parts of it were true.

she sighed again, "i'll look for clothes, you go shower."

smiling at her again and saying thank you, i made my way to my bathroom and did all of my business.

when i got out, i plugged in my phone so it could charge completely.

joselyn had picked out a nice black dress that fitted my body perfectly.

she made me sit down so she could do my makeup.

"not too much, josy." i warned the makeup obsessed girl.

"ugh, fine." she replied rolling her eyes.

while getting ready, we listened to some music to get in the mood. going to a club every friday has become a routine for us, yet i still forget sometimes. we like to think of it as a treat for ourselves, because of all the hard work we've done in college.

you can say we're nerds, from monday to thursday. fridays are for clubbing, saturdays are for waking up in strangers beds and getting a major hangover. sundays are brunch dates with joselyne and for studying.

my thinking was interrupted by a kik notification from jack.

i hadn't told joselyne about it yet, so for sure she was going to freak out.

on cue she looked at me confused.

"who's that?"

"just someone."

she dangerously glared at me, repeating her question.

"lilah, who is that?"

"just a friend, we met last friday." i locked my phone, deciding to reply later on.

she squealed and jumped up and down.

"it's that cute guy, right?"

"not sure, but he is pretty cute." i said, honesty slipping through my lips. "but i don't remember shit from that night."

"ugh, i only remember parts of it. it involved lots of hotties and dancing."

i laughed at her. "obviously."

once we were all done, we linked arms together and walked out of my apartment, grabbing everything in the process and locking my door.

tonight, the dance floor was ours.
