I'm going to be very upfront with this, honestly I'm not sure about the whole: is there two genders or is there multiple? This is because I'm not very informed in that way. However I accept every gender, so I respect the pronouns and the people. But that's beside the point.
Gender.
Just like sexuality many call it a spectrum with some genders including but not limited to: transgender, cisgender, bigender, genderfluid, nonbinary, etc etc.
Many of these I get the definitions mixed up (I'm sorry *cri*).
But.
I got some advice for you!
No gender stereotypes:
This is one major one when talking about genders, so let's get this straight. Boys (trans, cis, fluid, etc.) can act feminine, and girls (trans, cis, fluid, etc.) can act masculine. They're called stereotypes for a reason, so I say don't follow them at all.
I see a lot of people of people on social media accepting guys doing makeup and dressing up more feminine and it's amazing, I love it! However I know that if that guy was trans and then decided to to put on makeup that he would be ridiculed and questioned because he was suppose to be a guy. Simply put the way someone acts, looks, talks etc does not define their gender. The only thing that can define a persons gender is themselves. Nothing else.
Respect the pronouns:
This goes along the lines of the stereotypes. If a guy acts more feminine, but wishes to be called a he then call him a he. This shouldn't be any different if this particular guy was a transmale. Respect the freaking pronouns. It's not that hard. Yea at first you'll slip up, but correct yourself. It's not that hard. I'm not that innocent I'll admit I mess up on my friends pronouns a few times but I always correct myself. If you're unsure of how to pronounces someone pronouns apologize and then politely ask them how to say them or ask them what they are (they/them, he/him etc)
