Lovely Glow

Real day

"My lover's got humor. She's the giggle at the funeral!" played  David's alarm.

David was already awake though. He barely slept; he kept thinking about yesterday.

"If the heavens ever did speak. She's the last true mouthpiece..."

'I don't get it...'

"We were born sick; you heard them say it."

'I've hated him my whole life, and he's hated me all his life!"

"Se tells me 'worship in the bedroom'"

'Pfft he's only realized his sexuality until now. Ha!'

"I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife."

"Aw shut up!!" yelled David turning off his alarm forcefully.

He got up and did his morning routine. David's mother had gone to work early again. He was standing at the edge of school gates.

He didn't know what to expect today. He toke a deep breath and put his head down and started to walk quickly into the high school.

He went inside the gym and sat next to Judy not saying a word. Finally when Judy's song ended she looked up and jump.

David saw that Judy finally noticed him and gave her a small wave. Judy toke off her earbuds and looked at gym court.

"What's up with you?" "... Nothing..." "Bullshit!" David sighed, "Promise not to tell?" "Yeah! Cross my heart, hope to die!" "Yeah... I can't relay on that..." he smiled. "Hey!" she punched him, "I'm not kind of depressed!"

"Heh... Ok... Uhhh..." he started, "I... Trav-..."

David hushed his voice, "Travis is my... 'mate'..." "What? Speak up!" "Travis...he..." "Did Travis do something to you?!"

"Not...really..." blushed David. Judy looked at him confused. "He's...my... mate..." said David a little louder.

There was a awkward silence. David could feel his ears get red as he looked at his emo friend. She was staring at David with a look full of awe and confusion.

"Travis?!??!" she said finally. David nodded still red. David explained everything that happened the day after.

"Wow..." breathed Judy, taking a sip of her coffee. She looked at her cup. "This one's yours..." "Oh! S-sorry.." "It's okay it doesn't taste that bad.

The morning went on as usual except for fourth period: PE. That's the first class David had with Travis. The boy stood at the door to the boys locker room. He pushed his glasses up against his nose and walked inside.

He got into his uniform and talked to a couple of his friends. Suddenly he felt a big hand grip his shoulder and felt a tug.

David looked back and saw another jock named Kevin; he was very muscular boy with sandy hair. The boy was one of Travis' backup buddies.

"Nerd! Travis wants to 'talk'" said the sandy haired jock.

David sighed pretending he was gonna get beaten and asked where Travis was as if he had given up. Kevin pointed at the showers.

David walked inside the showers. He looked around but didn't see Travis.

He walked to the back of the stalls. He saw Travis in a stall back faced towards David.

David tapped Travis' shoulder and looked down. He could feel his face burning up. David saw his chest glow a light shade of blue again.

David felt Travis' hands push him against the shower walls. Travis' chest was also glowing.

David looked at Travis. Travis had lifted him, unable to touch the floor.

"What are yo-" David was interrupted as Travis kissed him harshly. David was surprised and disgusted. He could tell looking at Travis' closed eyes that he didn't want to do this.

To surprised to move. David felt Travis' lips get softer. This woke up David. He pushed the jock and looked him dead in the eye keeping his distance.

"WHAT THE HELL?!!!?" he yelled as he cleaned his mouth. He felt his face become a fire and his hands got slightly sweaty.

Travis didn't look at the short boy. "Now our chest's won't glow!"

David looked down at his chest. He was right. "Well... Whatever! Next time you want to kiss this sexy beast ask!"
"Mm hmm..."

David stormed off. 'Little bastard!!' he thought.

He went out to the gym and sat down at the bleachers next to Judy.

"You're red bro," she said at David staring at his face. "No shit! Freaking Travis kissed me!!" "WHAT?!" "

Travis looked at the gym floor. Staring at the basketball court lines. "To stop the glow you know?"

David and Judy stayed in the bleachers talking about absolute nonsense. David kept looking back at Travis shoot baskets. 'Bastard!' he thought.

After running out of topics to talk about they watched the jocks play and laugh at them when they didn't make a shot.

Travis missed a few times. And in those few times Judy laughed her lungs out.

"Gawd! I need a drink!" she got up and went in the locker rooms to drink from the fountain.

David looked back at the court to see Travis soaking in water. The jocks spilled water on him to "refreshen" him. Travis toke off his shirt and wipes his eyes with the wet shirt.

David felt ticklish inside.

David went into the locker rooms and changed quickly and waited. Travis walked in still shirtless.

David got up. "Hey dickwad! I have the answers for your stupid test!!"he yelled. Travis looked at him confused and walked into the shower stalls. David followed.

"I don't have a test today," Travis said walked in a shower stall. He turned around to see David standing on the bench that was inside the stall.

David grabbed the back of Travis's head and pulled him closer. David placed his lips on Travis. David started to suck on the jock's bottom lip. Surprised, Travis did the same.

David pulled away and crinkled his nose and glared at the jock. "Just making sure dickwad!"
