the third quote;
"But if you come at just any time, I shall never know at what hour my heart is ready to greet you..." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
I've come to the conclusion that my time in this world is coming to a solemn close.
Throughout the years I have witnessed terrible, terrible things, and I wish to see no more of it. As I write this letter to you, my love, my hands are shaking and my eyes are stinging, and I feel as if the world around me is quickly swallowing me whole.
There is no mercy and there is no light, and all that's left is a scaring sense of fright. My bones are hollow and my heart is tender, and the aching pain embedded into my flesh through the burns I've acquired through the weight of living are leaking, seeping, stinging into my soul.
I know that once the sun sets and the cool darkness envelopes the sky, that it will be my time to depart this world. I will wait, patiently, for you under the thick darkness and the tender curiosity of the third hour of the night; I will wait for you to fold me into your arms, to deliver the foreign sense of love that I've never felt while living in this world. I will wait, but if you come at just any time, I shall never know at what hour my heart is ready to greet you.
Come quick, my love, the sadness etched into the darkness is quickly fluttering away.
