"Emma there's on over there." I whispered to the blonde. She looked to where I was pointing and took aim. I watched her concentrate before she let the arrow fly. I heard a thud. I didn't have to turn around to know she hit the buck.
"You gonna save the antlers?" She asked taking out her carving knife. I chuckled and walked off following the slight trail of blood.
"Yes and I'll sell them When we get over into Richfield." I said walking to the buck who had fallen to the ground. I looked to see the arrow lodged in eye. It was still alive so Emma kneeled down and killed it quickly.
"Thank you." She whispered to the dear.
"What?" I asked.
"I was talking to the dear." She said and went to work gutting it.
"Why?" I chuckled.
"Because it's giving us food. Now don't be ungrateful it may have gone unwillingly but I still don't have to share." I rolled my eyes at the blonde.
"Had me your hand saw will you?" She nodded moved so her back was to me.
"It's in my thigh pocket." She instructed. I sighed and moved to get it.
I thought I would be a little annoying so I grabbed her butt.
"Oh sorry wrong thing." I said before grabbing the handle.
"Right. What you were going to grab was my vagina." She mumbled moving back so she could finish.
"I would of loved to grab that to dear." I said and started to saw off the eight point antlers.

I watched as she took what little meat the skinny dear had to offer. I took the meat and went down to the fire we had going and put it in a tray before placing it on the hot rocks in the fire. I was glad the stream wasn't to far off and rinsed my hands in it before going to help her hang the dear up.
The Bears will finish it off. I took out my knife and cut the tail off.
"What are you doing?" Emma asked coming up beside me.
"Taking a souvenir." I said walking back to camp.
It was starting to get dark and this switch back is the best spot to see everything. We've trekked through the mountains for eight days.
I hung the tail up to dry after putting a little salt I found in my bag on the flash part.
"It's done." I looked up from my spot to see Emma turning the the steaks making sure they were cooked all the way through.
I got up and walked over. I took my now clean knife out and cut them into pieces before getting the other pan and putting them on it. I sat back and allowed Emma to eat what she wanted before I ate the rest.
"Sunsets beautiful." She said smiling at the west. I looked at her.
"Sure is." I whispered popping the last piece of meat into my mouth.
"Thank you." She said blushing. I moved over to the horses that were grazing on near by patches of weeds and grass while being tied up and took our thing from them. I put them near the warmth of the fire and laid down.
"We better get some sleep if we want to be in the valley by noon." I said parting the spot next to me. She smiled and took her hat off setting it near mine that was now on my saddle. She took her belt off and unbuttoned her pants and unzipped her pants and laid down.
"Comfy?" I whispered as she fixed her head on my chest.
"Yes I sleep better when I don't have something tight on my hips." I sighed and kissed the top of her head.
She lifted her head up and kissed me on the lips. Every time I kiss her it feels like the first time. It feels as if nothing else matters.
She pulled back and cupped my cheek lightly. I smiled at her.
"Goodnight my Queen." She whispered.
"Goodnight my savior." I whispered back.

I woke up at least an hour before sunrise. I checked my watch to see that it said eight fifteen. I scrunched my brows and shook my watch lifting it to my ear. No tick. Damn it. I looked at Emma who was already up and was making breakfast which consisted of, meat from last night. I smiled and went to work getting the horses ready. I took them both down to the stream to let them get their fill of water because we weren't following the stream into the valley.
When they no longer wished to drink I took them back to camp to see Emma covering up the small pit we used for a fire place. I took my tail off the tree and smiled. I knew we were being followed.
Being an enemy of the law I always new if someone was following me. But this time it wasn't the law coming after us. I took the tail and pointed the fleshy end toward the deer before placing it in the middle of the old fire place.
"I thought you were keeping it." Emma said mounting Red.
"It's so if some one comes and they see the tail they know there is game in the area." I smiled mounting Caliber.
"Somethings wrong." I looked at her confused but she wasn't looking at me she was looking at Caliber.
"We need to go." I said kicking him forward. I concentrated on his ears to see that his ears were moving frantically meaning they had to be less than three miles away. No he can't hear them he can smell the horses since we are down wind.
Luckily we were following a trial.
"Let's run." I shouted to Emma as I kicked my steed into a run. I glanced back to see that Emma wasn't to far behind me. I placed the cloth that was around my neck around my mouth. It's a habit when I'm running.

We ran till almost noon.
"My watch stopped working." I said slowing down. "Swan-Mills." I whispered and Caliber walked.
"What? Really?" She asked coming up beside me.
"Yeah." I said glancing at the ridges.
"They're coming after aren't they? That's why you out the tail down. It was a warning." I looked back at her.
"Emma you know what they have done." I said pointing to the east.
"Yes and I know what you have done." My heart sunk.
"I'm not letting them hurt you." I persisted.
"Yes and I hate when you kill people. I've seen you kill a couple people and the look in your eye shows that you like watching the life drain from people." I saw the tears in her eyes. I stopped Caliber and got off. "What are you doing?" She asked getting off of Red.
I walked around to her and took her in my arms.
"I told you before we started seeing each other on a regular basis. I'm messed up and the only thing I have to offer you that I can always give you is my love. I can't guarantee that I won't mess up. I con only promise you that I will do everything in my power to make sure that you aren't hurt. Now if it's mentally hurt I can't alway guarantee that but physically I can." I said holding her.
"But you enjoy killing people." She repeated.
"Because it gives me a sense of power. It's a twisted sense. But I don't know how to change it. You don't know everything that my mother had done to me and my father did nothing to stop her. I don't let my past define me but some of the things that happened are embedded into me and I have no idea of how to get ride of them." I whispered pressing lit kisses to her neck before pulling away.
"Regina." She whispered looking at me with sorrow.
"I told you I'd love you till death do us part an I intend to keep that." I said getting back on my horse.
"I love you." I smiled.
"I love you." I said and we took the road all the way into town.
