Brand New Tank, Brand New Life

~ The Next Day ~

Today was the day that Hank would be getting his large tank that he SO craved and desired for.

He couldn't wait to swim around and have fun...especially since he knew that you were going to be his trainer and caretaker, which meant that he would swim around with you too in his large tank.

But, anyways while Hank was waiting, he couldn't help but think back to what had happened yesterday when you "battled" your boss about letting him stay at the Institute...

'I still can't BELIEVE that (he/she) stood up for me...I mean, ME! Out of all the more beautiful creatures here, (she/he) helped me...an old, grumpy, and most of all ugly octopus..that doesn't really have as many friends..', Hank thought.

Then he heard someone come through the doors to Quarantine and saw that it was just you, coming in to take him to his new tank.

"Hey buddy, are you ready to see you're tank?!", (Y/N) asked Hank in a cheerful and excited voice.

Hank perked up a little bit when you mentioned the word 'tank' and replied to your question.

"Heck yeah, kid!", he said as he climbed up on your (left/right) shoulder so he could get a better view...plus so he could be close to you.

You then started making you're way to Hank's new habitat while also hoping that he'll like it once he sees it.

                       ~ Time Skip ~

When you guys finally got to his tank, Hank couldn't help be amazed by what all he was seeing.

He saw that the tank was WAY bigger than what he thought it was gonna be, plus he saw that by the tank, there was a wooden picnic table with matching picnic seats and a laptop that was charging on the table.

Hank then turned to (Y/N) and began talking to (him/her).

"I don't know why, but I feel as if its my birthday!", he said very happily, then hopped off you're shoulder so he could go chill in the tank, but still talk to you while you were standing by it.

"Well, I'm glad that you like the tank Hank.", you said as you decided to sit crisscross on the ground beside the tank.

Then, out of no where, Hank gasped which caused you to direct your attention to him cuz you thought there was something wrong.

"Hank, what's wrong?!", you asked, then Hank told you that he had to go to the Open Ocean tank and get something from a pal of his, so you let him know where to go threw the pipes since he wouldn't be seen by anyone that way.

                      ~ Time Skip ~

After a long while, Hank finally came back and you saw that he was hiding something behind his..erm..back?

"Whatcha got there?", you asked, sounding very curious to what he had.

"Oh, well it's something for you.", he said and you couldn't help but say, "Awwww! Hanky, you got something for me! You didn't have to do that!", you said as you could tell that Hank had a slight shade of pink on his face, obviously blushing from the new nickname you gave him.

"Haha..yeah, but I can't give it to you until you close you're eyes and hold out you're hand", he said, waiting for you to apply to his instructions, which you immediately did.

When you're eyes were closed, you felt Hank put a small and round object in your hand.

"Ok, you can open you're eyes now Angelfish", he said.

Once you opened you're eyes and saw what was in your hands, you thought you were gonna cry with joy cuz in the palm of your hand was a small, white pearl!

"Hank! H-how did you get this?!", you asked still shocked about what he gave you.

"Well, a clam that I became buddies with recently named Henry Clamthony had it and he said that he wanted to get rid of it, so I asked him if I could have it and he said ok", he said, finishing his story on how he got it.

"W-why did you give it to m-me", you asked, somewhat flustered.

"I...I wanted to repay you for what you had done for me..", he said, as he stared into you beautiful (E/C) eyes.

You began to laugh then said.

"I feel as if it's my birthday, too", you said, as you brought Hank in for a hug.
