Light me up (A Leo Valdez story)

The Camp

When I walked outside still dressed in my Greek toga I noticed we were docked. Annabeth and Piper stood outside waiting for you.

"Hey Avalon!" Piper said "Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. I'm sure you've heard about it."

I nodded and looked around. Who hadn't heard of Camp? It was always talked about on Olympus, but I never imagined it to be so amazing. "We will show you around and get you settled in at the Apollo cabin. You have a lot of siblings here." Annabeth said leading me off the boat.

They walked me around the camp showing me everything. Everyone, I mean every single person noticed me. Most of the guys were waving and saying welcome while most of the girls scowled.

I didn't look like most of the girls here. I wasn't tall and thin and built athletic. I was shorter and curvy and according to everyone WAY too pretty to not be an Aphrodite girl.

When I got introduced to the Apollo cabin it was nice to meet my siblings at least that's what I thought until they started pestering me. They whispered about how I don't belong and I'm probably not even Apollo's kid. They laughed and made fun all except Will. He seemed very kind and told me not to listen to them about anything.

I followed his advice until at dinner when they "accidentally" pushed me out of my seat and "mistakenly" called me a fake demigod.

I rolled my eyes and decided to break the rules and go sit with Percy. He was alone at his table anyway.

"What's wrong?" He asked as I walked to him.

I shook my head, "they are saying I'm a fake demigod. That I am too pretty and not tough enough for the Apollo cabin."

Percy smirked at me as I threw my head down on the table not wanting to be here anymore.

I looked up at him. "What are you smiling about?" I questioned.

He shrugged, "Prove them wrong."

"What do you mean prove them wrong?" I asked looking at him suspiciously.

"You are Apollo's daughter, my sister, and you've been living with the gods. You said yourself you have secrets and I'm sure you've got some aces up your sleeves, use them."

I thought about it for a second, then nodded. I was going to prove them wrong. And I was going to do it right now!
