It wasn't hard being the daughter of Apollo when your mother couldn't take care of you so your father had to take you to Olympus instead. I didn't complain about living among the gods, in fact I liked it.

I learned more than I thought I ever would from them. Ares taught me how to fight, Aphrodite how to dress, and so much more. I had a family here, unlike so many of the demigods down below.

I never held it against my mother for giving me up either. She had given me a wonderful life here and father had explained why she couldn't have me and I understood, even though I now have a strong desire to meet her.

I have been consulted once or twice with issues from the other demigods. The gods have questioned my opinion on a few occasions, but I never got to see any of them except a picture of Percy Jackson that Poseidon showed me once.

I was happy here. My father had given me my twin blades, one that is celestial bronze and the other imperial gold. That's not the only gift my father has given me. Unlike most my father had given me complete photokinesis. No demigod in ages has been able to create, bend, and use light like I can. He then gave me the swords so I can bend my light around them, making them even stronger then before.

I also have a few other Apollo given tricks. I can heal others and predict the future a bit. But my gifts from Apollo aren't the only ones I was given....

My other "gift" was from Zeus and Hades themselves. It was the only time I had seen the two of them agree on something so easily. They cursed... I mean gifted me with these two Stygian iron cuffs that fit tightly around my wrists. Hades forged them in the Underworld then Zeus put a curse on them.

"I am sorry Avalon, I know you are not happy with our gift." Zeus said trying to get me too look up from my now bound wrists. I picked at them trying to get them off, "Avalon these can not be taken off. They will not come off of you until you need them to. I am sorry you are disappointed, but I promise they will help you in your life."

Hades looked at me with pity. Besides my father, Hades, and Poseidon have always had a soft spot for me. Once I even got to spend time in the Underworld with Hades, but that day I didn't want to be near him.

For months I clawed at the cuffs but I slowly got used to them. I got used to everything on Olympus. I loved it here, but that's when I got kicked off the mountain for no reason and was suddenly tumbling out of the sky.
