We had just finished our fourth day of clinics. Things at camp were actually going really well. Hazel and I were really starting to become pretty good friends mainly because I was the only person who knew about her and Kyle. I didn't mind knowing. It was actually kind of fun helping them sneak around.

Tonight was our first night off as a village. It was a camp rule for counselors and counselors in training to get at least one night off a week. For the CITs that happened to be Thursdays.

Hazel invited me, Kyle, Ava, Chris, Jack, and Ross and a couple of other people to her house about thirty minutes south of camp. I couldn't wait to spend the car ride and the entire night with Jack.

Last night after lights out Hazel had promised me she would try her best to set us up. I swear, I'm not usually someone desperate for a relationship, especially with someone I barely even know, but Jack was different. He was so sweet and funny. I just felt completely comfortable when I was around him unlike other boys.

I grabbed my towel and shower caddy and made a bee line to the bathroom. Clinics had just gotten out and our night off didn't start for another hour. Most people would be hanging out at the dining hall waiting for their shifts to end, so it was a perfect time to have the bathroom all to myself.

I wasn't totally comfortable with having to share our bathroom with the guys, but I also wasn't going to let that get in the way of personal hygiene. My strategy was get in and out as fast as possible.

After checking to make sure I was alone, I pulled the curtain shut and switched on the water. The other two showers were empty.

When I was done shampooing my hair and turning off the water I heard foot steps. Oh shit. Don't panic. I knew I was being a little over dramatic but I actually froze. I stood there awkwardly behind the curtain for a couple minutes soaking wet making sure the coast was clear.

The last thing I wanted was an awkward run in with any of the guys, especially Chris. He was leaning on the creepy side.

I sighed. I was being crazy. It was so quiet I was pretty sure I was the only person in the entire cabin.

I pulled back the curtain feeling relieved I wasn't going to have to hide out here all night. I looked down at my shower stuff making sure I hadn't forgotten anything. Just my luck as I was two paces out of the shower I ran smack into none other than Jack.

I was so shocked I dropped my shower caddy, my shampoo and body wash spilling everywhere. My main concern was keeping my towel up which I clenched firmly with both hands after already dropping all of my shower stuff.

It was so ironic that I would run into Jack of all people, I felt like I was in some cheesy movie. Just my luck. The whole situation leading up to this moment could not have gone worse.

All I wanted to do was throw on some yoga pants and a sweatshirt and crawl into a ball under my bunk. Not only was I still standing completely naked except for a towel. I was standing directly in front of my crush, speechless and disheveled. To make matters worse I still had to face Jack later when we were all hanging out.

"Woah Emma. You good?" Jack laughed it off helping me pick up my shampoo bottle that I had practically chucked across the room being the nervous wreck that I am.

Jack on the other hand seemed completely composed despite seeing me like this. He was so cool. I loved how he could be so comfortable in front of me. That was something I definitely needed to work on while I was here for the next few weeks.

Graciously I took the bottle and my shower caddy and scurried off to the girl's side, not before I passed a smirking Chris on my way out. "You guys having a quickie before the real fun tonight?" He punched Jack in the arm. Jack laughed almost as uncomfortable as I was.

"Oh grow up," I rolled my eyes not even bothering to stay around for his next comment.

"Come on! I could have joined you!" Ew. Chris should go fuck himself. Oh wait. He probably already does.
