There she stood, right in front of him, close enough to touch, but he couldn't let her see him like this, covered in his own blood, flesh decaying, muscles torn open, lying dead on the ground.
"Oh there you are, we're all packed up and ready to go, we're just waiting for you."
"O-okay," he said, staring at her, "I'll be there in just a sec." He was completely baffled at her reaction, he was bleeding out! His putrified blood already congealing, into a mucus-like consistency on the ground, his flesh decaying into a sickly brown-green shade, a shade no organic matter should obtain while still alive. His torn viscera littered the ground, in a terrible fashion, glistening in the sun, the glossy purplish sheen reflecting its happy rays. She was completely fine! She didn't even acknowledge the fact he had died, she was perfectly calm. He slowly stood up and followed her to the car, leaving a trail of dark bloody footprints and rotten skin behind him. He looked back, his pool of quickly drying blood soaking into the soil where he had sat just a few moments earlier
"Hurry up! We're all waiting!"
Still nothing about his death. He climbed into the car, silent, staring back to the trail of gore he had left.
"What's wrong? Your awfully quiet..." She asked him, putting her arm around his demolished bloody shoulder
