Living up to the expectation. (A 1D fanfic)

Hello America

Maya's P.O.V:

This tour has been so tense so far. It's been two days since the sleepover and the only people who I can openly talk with are Ed and Taryn. I invited Taryn on tour with me after Jade told us what had happened. She has been great to be with. Harry, of course, can't get over how she looks like Taylor. Just because Taryn likes to annoy Harry, she told me to call her Tay, rather than Tar.

Anyway, this trip is awful. Every time Liam tries to talk to me alone, Harry always interupts and vice-versa. It's like I can't talk to them anymore! So frustrating!

"Tay!" I screamed for my bestie.

She came in with her headphones on, still in her PJ's. She pulled the headphones off and paused the music.

"What Maya? I was jamming out to some Ed Sheeran!"

"If you want to hear him sing he is on the bus, just go ask him!" Her face turned red. "As I was going to say, wanna go shopping? I'm sick of just sitting here on this bus."

Taryn preferred sports, but she loved shopping. "I was here in New York with my cousin a while ago! I'll show you where the best stores are!"

Before Tay was about to drag me out the door, I realized a crucial detail.

"Tay, were both still in our PJs."

Not believing me, Tay looked down and laughed at her PJs. We both ran to change quickly. Finally, after waiting forever, and I mean it, Tay came out of her room.

"Come on!" She gestured to me. "Let's go!"

New York was full of paparazzi. They were yelling questions at me and Tay.

"Are you dating any of the boys Maya?"

"What about you Tay? Are you dating any of them?"

At this question, Taryn blushed. I looked at her suspiciously.

"Is there something you aren't telling me Tay?" I said looking her in the eye. She turned red.

"Nooooo...." She said looking away from me.

I whipped out my phone.

'We'll talk about this later.' I texted her.

She looked at her phone and gulped. While that was happening, I heard another Paparazzi question.

"Are you going to visit the girls of Little Mix while they are here today?" Taryn and I looked at each other.

I opened my texts again and texted Leigh Ann because she was normally the fastest responder.

'Where are you guys?'

I heard a small ringtone and checked my phone.

'About to go on stage at this small stage in NYC.'

Taryn looked at the address. "That's about two minutes from here! If we run, we can make it."

Taryn was always a faster runner than me so the run there took her two minutes. It took me five.

"Alright Girls, we are going to start with move!" Jade's voice boomed through the speakers.

I think Perrie saw us halfway through the concert and waved at us. Taryn waved back immediately. She was probably closest with Perrie than the other girls at the studio.

Move finished and there were more screams. Something I have to get used to before my ears bleed.

"We would like to call up some close friends of ours to help us sing this song, Please welcome Maya and Taryn!

We started to fangirl even though they were our best friends.We ran up stage, yay more running, and grabbed microphones.

"Hi everyone!" Tay and I chorused together.

"So we want to perform wings with you guys." Jesy said.

"I'm cool with that. Taryn said and I nodded in agreement.

We split the song fairly.

Jesy opened as normal and we went through the song normally, just that I sing the chorus as a solo at the beginning. Then it was the bridge, which we gave to a nervous Tay. But her voice was like 'wow' when she sang. She sounded almost exactly like her cousin!

The girls and I just stood there dumbfounded as she sung. Like, I can't even describe how amazing she was. I also noticed that Leigh Ann had someone on the phone and was holding it so whoever it was could hear it.

The crowd cheered as she finished. Tay herself looked shocked.

"So, how about Taryn gives us a concert?" Jade suggested to the crowd.

The crowd screamed some more.

"Well, I do know a song by my cousin..."

More screams.

The music to mean started.

Taryn hit every note perfectly. The crowd loved her. Leigh Ann still had her phone on for whoever was on the other line.

"Well, we have to go now but the Girls will perform some more for you!"

Taryn bounced off stage looking happier than ever.

"Tay, I'm not being biased, but that was amazing!" I complemented.

She blushed. "Thanks Maya. Can we shop now?" She urged.

"Not until your telling me who your dating."

"Girl, just don't tell anyone. " I nodded.

"Niall asked me out."
