Turns out Faith and Milo also made it to Gryffindor so I had two friends to hang out with.
We feasted well that night. I chose mainly meats to try and satisfy the urge that came purely from the werewolf.
"Feeding a bit like an animal are we? Wolfing down your food." Milo smirked from next to me making lots of werewolf puns.
"Milo! Manners, are you forgetting she didn't eat on the train." Faith scolded kicking him under the table.
I grinned with a mouth full of food. "Youthh thaft thee to be thlike van vanaval?" I began eating with my mouth probably disgusting for a few people.
Faith looked at me with horrified eyes and Milo did the same. But the girl next to Faith began laughing hysterically. I stopped when she became so loud that everyone stopped what they were doing to look at us.
I looked almost casually at the head teacher and found Dumbledore looking bemused.
Swallowing my mouthful I climbed on the bench. "So this is what you get if you tell a funny joke to a person who finds everything funny." I clambered back down and after the girl calmed down five minutes later everything went back to normal.
"I'm sorry about that. It was just too funny. My name's Lauren by the way." The girl introduced herself as she removed her blond/brown curly hair out her bright red face.
"Brooke." I smiled.
"Faith and my brother Milo." Faith said.
"How'd you get that scar?" Lauren asked me.
"Animal, when I was younger." I said.
She nodded. "I got bitten by a vampire, at least, that's what I like to say, I actually accidentally bit myself." Lauren grinned and showed a scar on her arm.
I grinned as well trying not to look too hungrily at her veins. Apparently werewolves loves veins.
Luckily the rest of the feast went without a hitch and we were taken to our common rooms.
A prefect told us where to go and what to do. I was more surprised at the moving staircases than the moving pictures.
"For some unknown reason we're at Hogwarts a day early so you get a day to look around the school. Use that time wisely now." The prefect warned as we all ran past the poor sod trying to find out where we were going to be sleeping.
I jumped on the bed nearest the window and waited for my two roommates to arrive.
Faith and Lauren came into the room a few minutes later.
"Your my roommates?" We all squealed excitedly together.
It was a while before we settled down to sleep and it wasn't long for me to hear Lauren and Faith's snoring.
I couldn't sleep. Not a wink. Every instinct in me wanted me to howl at the moon, become the wolf inside.
This was the same each and every night before a transformation and I can tell you it is a very long night each time.
Soon, thankfully, it was morning and I got up.
We ate together on our table and had a laugh about last night when the owls came in.
One stopped in front of me and held out a foot.
I took the message and it flew away.
Opening it up I read it confused. My parents wouldn't send me a message like this.
Brooke Willows,
I know you have questions and concerns about what you wrote to me about when you received your place a Hogwarts and I want them to be put to rest as soon as possible. To do this I would like you to meet me after breakfast at the teachers table and we shall speak about these things.
