I stayed in the avery with no problems. The students didn't choose me to send a message when some came up with letters.
Snape came up when everyone was in lessons and I was relived to not have to wait too long for him.
Snape came to the avery and began looking for an owl with a message.
I hooted and landed on the floor in front of him.
Snape looked surprised looming up in front of me so I quickly turned to my human form.
Snape stared for a few seconds before grinning and gave me a hug.
"Brooke, I didn't think I would see you again." He grinned.
"Nor me. I'm so, so sorry for making you loose your license temporarily and spending time in Azkaban." I apologized straight away.
"I'm fine, don't worry about it, how did you escape? I read your letter."
"Sirius helped me." I told him.
"How did he help you?" Snape frowned at me.
"He was put in the same cell as me, I think so for me to kill him when I transformed for the first time in the cell. He helped me to learn how to turn into this owl and escape." I told him.
"So you teamed up with an killer who killed in cold blood, and in a street full of muggles?" Snape frowned even more.
I shook my head. "It wasn't him. I tried to get him to come, but he wouldn't, said he'd be proven innocent."
"What you did today was very risky, it was a good thing a owl didn't bring my newspaper yesterday."
"I know, but no one knows I can turn to a owl." I said.
"Faith and Milo said they thought they saw you yesterday." Snape said.
I nodded. "I spoke to them."
"You did what!" Snape looked like I'd hit him with a bees nest.
"I know. I told them what really happened though. They had a right to know."
"They had the right to kill you and say it was in self defence." Snape snapped.
"I told them I wouldn't be here. And that's why I came." I said.
"Why? Because you have a death wish?" Snape hissed looking behind him.
"No, because I want to live." I said. "But to do so I need to know spells and things, I need to come back and start Hogwarts again, at least for a year. To learn the basics."
"And you tell me this why?" Snape said.
"Because next year I'm starting and I need to know if you can help me." I said.
"Help you do what?" Snape asked.
"Help me not be found out."
There was a long pause.
"You are one crazy girl Willows. But if you promise me that after the year is up, you'll become a nobody, then yes, I shall help you." Snape said at last.
I grinned and smiled. "Thank you. When I can, I shall give you a tip to who I am." I grinned and gave him one last hug. "See you in a few months."
Turning to my owl form I flew away with a happy heart getting ready to put plan B into action.
I wished I could fall asleep but this night was special.
I'd tracked down a muffle born witch and had been watching her and her family for the last five or six months. The witch was special for me because she was the main focus of attention. She was going to be one of the lucky few witches and wizards that got to go to Hogwarts. Unfortunately for her, I needed that place. I'd make it up to her some day but for my purposes that wasn't a main concern on my mind.
Just after midnight I heard someone walking down the road. A postman.
Curiously I watched as they went up to the house and quietly posted it and then left.
I stayed where I was a good ten minutes then with a flap of my wings I swooped down to the door and transformed into my human self.
Opening the letter box covering I called for the families dog Mini.
Mini was a guide dog for the mother of the family. I'd spent lots of nights just chatting and getting her used to me. I'd even got her to open the door for me a few times and groomed her and genuinely was nice to her.
Mini didn't let me down tonight, her affection to me clear to see. She bounded to me, looking silver in the darkness.
"Mini, open the door. Open the door Mini." I asked her like I'd heard the mother say.
Mini barked and opened the door for me and I immediately hugged her and made a big fuss.
"Mail Mini." I said and Mini gave it to me. Putting it in my pocket I fussed with mini before I got her back inside and left in my owl form.
The next day I looked at the name who'd I'd taken and I had to admit I was happy I had a nice name. Lilly Rose.
Now for my second plan. Get a disguise that covered my scar and made me look different.
Looking through the village Lilly Rose lived in I decided on a few things I liked and willed myself to look like them.
I
changed my long silver hair to ginger and shortened it so it was just over shoulder height. I grabbed a chunk of hair that was above my forehead and made it a good inch smaller, so I had a fringe, I'd always wanted one.
I changed my lovely light blue eyes to a really dark blue grey colour.
After I looked in a puddle I grinned when I saw what the adjustments had done so far. I didn't look myself.
I changed my face to more of a twelve year old and no spots whatsoever.
Changing into a black jacket and leggings that I'd grabbed from a charity bin for clothes and out of the rags I had been in I looked alright. The only problem was my size.
I didn't want to do it, but I had to. I made myself smaller. A lot smaller.
With a wild smile I was ready. I took a photo of myself that I heard Lilly call a 'selfie' and put the camera in my pocket and took off walking to the local Boots where I knew I would get my photos printed out for me. I only needed one, that one was the photo I just took, for that one would remind me how I was supposed to look like after my transformation into a werewolf each month.
A/N- so, Brooke Willows is now Lilly Rose and is on her way to Hogwarts, again. Snape is helping and the wizarding community is on the look out for her. With a few weeks to go before Hogwarts begins, can make it?
What are your thoughts?
