The wedding went along without a hitch. Carter's sister looked genuinely happy as she stood at the alter saying her vows. Her white silk strapless fishtail gown hugged her body in all the right places. The soft pleated bodice and heavily embellished diamante beaded belt, added just the right amount of spaekle to the dress.
She didn't wear a veil or a headpiece because that would just bee too much and would take away the atention from the belt. It also meant that her brownhair could be tied back into a neat bun and her diamond earrings would finish her wedding day look off.

She just looked beautiful, as did her daughter who acted as the flower girl. She looked just like her mother. Long brown hair, bright blue eyes and simply beautiful in her little red dress.
Carter's parents sat in front of us during the ceremony, along with both sets of his grandparents. His mum didn't pay much attention to us when she arrived to take her seat. She just smiled and sat down. His brothers sat on the same row as us, Landon sitting next to me then Ayden sitting next to him.
Carter never let me go. Even when we had to stand when Alyssa was walking down the aisle, he held me close to his side. When his dad caught view of it, he gave us an unimpressed and disgusted look like we were doing something wrong.
When the ceremony was over with, Carter took my hand and followed his parents and grandparents out as they made their way back into the house for pictures.
"Carter, I don't think I should be here with you." I whispered as we walked.
"If I have to be here, I want you here with me." He squeezed my hand slightly and I shyly smiled at him.
"Okay, if we could just get the bride, groom and parents for right now, that would be great." The photographers voice echoed through the large room we now stood in.
"Carter, care to introduce us?" Landon asked, causing me to turn and look at him.
Carter placed a hand on the base of my back and smiled at his brothers. "Sarah, this is my little brother, Ayden, and of course, you already know Landon."
"Nice to meet you, Ayden." I smiled and shook the youngest Romero brother's hand as he held it out for me to take.
"Now I can see why Carter wanted to escort you in before," Ayden smiled. I pulled my hand back and Carter pulled me closer to his body. "I don't mean to sound out of line here or anything, but the car you came out of."
"What about it?"
"An Audi A5 Coupé, was it not?"
"Yes."
"Thought so. Been trying to get my parents to buy me one but they said it's, and I quote, 'not a decent car for me'. Beautiful car, inside and out though."
"It is and it's also mine." I felt Carter's gaze fall to me and I looked at him. "Yes?"
"You finally got your car?" His voice was low when he spoke and I couldn't help but smile.
"I got it this morning after waiting forever for it." I watched his face closely for his reaction. Nothing changed as he just looked at me. "Something wrong, Carter?"
He continued to look at me and I looked over at his brothers for some help.
Landon placed one of his hands on Carter's shoulder and gently shook him. "Carter, it's only a car. Snap out of it."
Shaking his head, Carter looked at his brother who now gripped his shoulder tightly. "I know it's only a car. I just didn't know she got it because the last time I knew, she was still waiting for it."
"You two seriously need some communication sessions and fast!" Ayden mentioned before her walked away and joined in on the photos that were being taken.
"Sarah, I'd love to see your car sometime. You'll have to bring it by the house and show it off," Landon smiled, removing his hand from Carter's shoulder in the process. "Before you start, I'm not hitting on your date. I have my own coming in a little bit."
With that said, Landon walked away.
"Why didn't you tell me you got your car?" Carter asked in a hushed tone.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because you gave me two weeks to decide wither or not I wanted to be with you. Maybe because my best friends brother surprised me by going to get it this morning. Maybe-"
"OK, I get it." I wriggled free from Carter's hold and pulled my coat tighter to my body. "You won't be able to wear that during the photos."
My eyes widened. "I'm not getting my picture taken."
"Why? Are you afraid that you might steal the limelight from the bride? Because let me tell you, you already are." Carter winked.
I rolled my eyes before Alyssa's daughter came over to stand by us.
Taking one of Carter's hands in hers, his niece smiled up at him. "Uncle Carter, my mum said you've to come and join in on the photos."
"Tell her I will once I've spoken to my friend." His attention left me and focused on the young girl who was trying her hardest to pull him away to get his photo taken. "Ella, stop it."
"But, Uncle Carter!" Ella whined, stomping one of her feet on marble floor.
"I said stop!" His tone caused her to stop whining and also caused everyone in the room to look over at us.
Ella dropped her uncle's hand and ran over to her mum who welcomed her with opened arms. Alyssa soothed her daughter who seemed to be quite distressed by her uncle's sudden change in reaction.
"Carter, you didn't need to be so rude to her." His mum mentioned as she approached us.
"I told her the truth. There was no need to pester me," he told his mum.
"You could have at least said it in a kinder tone. She is only a child," her voiced softened before she looked at me. "Dear, I am terribly sorry I never properly introduced myself to you when we briefly met."
"It's fine," I faintly smiled and nodded.
"If my son hasn't already told you, I'm Isobel Romero. Now, judging by what my husband, son and daughter have all told me, you must be Sarah." I fully smiled at her and nodded once more. "Carter, I can see your attraction to her. Just don't screw it up."

His mum took a step away from me as Carter smiled to his mum and placed a kiss on the top of my head. Isobel must have felt a little awkward at the sight of her son being so affectionate with someone, she turned away from us.
"I was telling Sarah that she has to join me in the photos." The sound of Carter's voice made Isobel turn back round to us.
"She certainly does," she smiled. "In fact, why don't the two of you go and get a picture taken just the pair of you. Give the rest of us a break."
Nodding, Carter let me go and took one of my hands in his before we started to walk towards the grand fireplace everyone was getting their photos taken in front of. When we stopped in front of the fireplace, Carter's hands held onto the sides of my coat and slid it off my shoulders before handing it over to Ayden to hold. He also took my clutch bag from me and passed it over to him too.
"Just hold, don't move and don't look inside the bag." Carter warned Ayden.
A slight chill hit my bare back before Carter's warm right hand was placed firmly in the middle of it. Feeling my bare skin, Carter raised a brow and looked at me. He smirked, "Defiantly stealing the limelight for Alyssa."
I smiled and allowed him to draw me close to his body. His right arm now wrapped round my waist before his left hand was neatly placed on my stomach in a tender moment.
"To the camera," the photographer called to us. "Smile."
We smiled and a bright flash of white light came a few times.
"Beautiful and I'm not just talking about the pictures."
"You can say that again," Alyssa agreed, sounding almost breathless for some unknown reason.
I looked passed the photographer and saw Alyssa standing with her mouth open in shock.
"She's beautiful isn't she? Carter gushed.
"She is and her dress is by R.L. Hayes. This isn't out till next season." Alyssa stepped towards us and started to pay attention to the dress I wore. "I don't mean to sound rude, but how did you manage to get this?"
"I work as a senior buyer for R.L. Hayes." I told her.
"Are you being serious right now?" Her eyes widened as I nodded to her answer. "You need to get me some of their items. If I could, I would buy everything they stocked in one of their stores."
"Alyssa, you are practically hyperventilating right now," Landon laughed from he stood behind her.
"So would you be if you have just met the woman who picks out which items are to be sold within the stores of the brand you love!"
"Alyssa, if you want, I can have a word with my boss and get you a couple of front row tickets to our next fashion show. I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem."
The smile she had on her face, grew by the second before she screamed and hugged me tightly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
I lightly patted her back and she let me go. "It's fine. It's the least I can do."
"Oh, Carter. I had a feeling she was a good one. Maybe now, you can officially be taken off the market and for good this time."
"One step at a time, Alyssa. One step at a time."
