Twenty Three

Hera

A heavy sigh escaped my mouth as the deafening sound of the bell ricocheted the whole campus, signalling that class is over. All of the exciting students are so ready to leave school to get their fun. But some stays for purpose and you can see from here the bunch of bespectacled students marching towards the library to study in advance or to make their assignments.

My plan on going to a mall this day wasn't the best idea, the truth is, I was held captive by hanging out with Fallon. It's been on a week since the last time we heard about each other. The path that leads to the library was almost crowd less, making me to loose myself in a moment and the deafening silence that fleshed out of the whole campus.

I smiled at the librarian. It was quite practical for her not to look up when someone said a word to her. I don't mind it though, but she seems so weird but one thing I like about her is that she's so fond when it comes to nerd, she's the librarian of course and it's pretty obvious that she's a drop dead bookworm.

I spare a minute standing at the front door with my chin held up but not for amazement, (I don't have much friends though.) But to look for someone. Spare seconds, the dismay in my face is displayed automatically afterwards. I leave the room then quickly turned on my soles to go home.

Maybe he's already at home.

Another sigh of relief escaped again for the second time today as the clear figure of the bus slowly stopping in front of me. Someone motioned a hand for me to come inside, then quickly stormed up and find a seat.

Great, all of the seats are occupied now I have no other choice but to stand up all the way long till the next stop. It's creepy in here, the atmosphere is so silent that you can hear a worm singing on the ground. Making my self distracted, I started to draw some tiny circles on my thigh trying to meditate the creepiness that crawls the whole bus.

I smiled mentally.

"Hello?" I called but silence answered me, no one is here again which means the house is mine for now.

I slid some blue pants and black V neck shirt and my hair was done in a neat ponytail. I laid my back and just stared at the ceiling, the smell of my hair telling me that I didn't make it to the shower, I about to but tiredness invaded me.

I got up searching for something on my closet, the thing I haven't used for a long time. I opened my laptop then scroll down on my instagram account. Lots new followers and almost a million tags. I stared at my profile for a couple of minutes. I was in between sixteen but almost seventeen at that time, it was a non filtered picture with a cream coloured background, then playing so serious in the camera.

I clicked message, it was practically empty but I was in a complete shocked when I saw my dad and Mr. Hillsdale posted a message on my message board.

Hera, we haven't seen you for months, your dad said that you're on a vacation and the news is, you have to go get home because Vogue magazine company offered a special offer. I hope you can get home in time.

Hera, you have a month to go home, if you don't want to make it, I'll find a way.

What? What was daddy talking about? He's blackmailing me? There's no way I'm going home without being graduated, this is what I came for to experience regular schooling and our stage play is set two weeks from now.

I mean, I'm not afraid of going home again, I'm afraid that everybody would find out the truth about the real me, especially Fallon.

I'm scared, I hope dad will give me a time to graduate five months from now if I may add.

I don't want to leave, I love the countryside, I was immune with all of the things that I haven't did yet.

How I wish that the time would stop and turns on again after my goal in going here.
