Trying to cope

I tried to get some sleep during the day. I spent most of the time in the car, waiting. I couldn't eat anything which wasn't a good sign. The night finally came and I rushed to the place where I had burried the two. I brought a bottle with me, just as Pam had asked me to do.
The ground shook a little as I saw the woman get out of the dirt.

"Did it work?" I asked immediately.
"I don't fucking know, you've gotta wait a minute" Pam snapped, taking the Tru blood from my hand.

I looked at the spot where I figured Georgia was and just stared at it nervously.

"What if it didn't work...." I whispered.
"It will"
"Okay" I nodded and sighed in slight relief.

Suddenly the ground moved a little again and Georgia sped up from the dirt as well. My sister threw me into a tree and tried to bite my neck.

"Why does this keep happening to me?" Pam sighed. "As your maker I command you, do not bite this human"

Georgia let go of me and I fell to the ground, in shock.

"What was that supposed to mean?" I asked Pam.
"She doesn't know what's happened yet. She doesn't remember you, but she will be alright tomorrow night" The woman reassured. "Probably...Now get in the coffin.

We were back at Fangtasia in a flash and Georgia was lying in a black coffin. I stared at the two of them.

"This is crazy stuff" I sighed and stroke my hand over the part of my neck where Georgia's fangs had left two, small bleeding marks.

Pam but her finger and healed my neck.

"Wow" I said. "I didn't know vampires could do that"
"Yes, well, goodnight" Pam said and got into her pink coffin.

I just rolled my eyes as Pam closed her coffin. I fell asleep next to Georgia's coffin and woke up again the next night by the a coffin opening again.

"Georgia?" I yawned and opened my eyes.
"Morning bitch" She said.
"How are you feeling?" I asked curiously.
"Great! I don't have to worry about anything" Georgia smiled as she raced out of the coffin.
"This is gonna be a long night....and I dunno if that's true" I smiled.
"Georgia, get the fuck back in the coffin and shut up! Some of us are trying to sleep" Pam shouted from inside her coffin.
"Aren't yo supposed to get up soon?" I asked.
"I'm fucking tired! Is a lie in illegal now?"
"Sorry" I rolled my eyes.

She ignored me and presumably went back to sleep. Georgia sat down next to me, ignoring Pam's comment before.

"So, how are you gonna survive an eternity when I'm dead?" I smiled.
"Your magic will keep you young" She said. "It can't make you immortal but it can keep turning the clock back to this age for you"
"Whatever" I rolled my eyes. "Can I see your fangs?" I then asked, feeling rather awkward.
"No, go away" Georgia said.
"I don't wanna hurt you"
"Georgia, you're my sister. You wouldn't hurt me" I replied softly.
"I don't know" She said. "I don't feel in control and Pam's not awake"
"It's okay. I trust you" I smiled.
"But Pam...." Georgia trailed off. "I saw her command Tara. What if she makes me do something I don't want to?"
"She won't" I tried to assure her but wasn't convinced myself. "I can practice magic and protect you"
"Okay" She clearly wasn't convinced by me either.
"And Georgia, whatever she makes you do, just remember that technically it's her" I told my sister, though I had no idea why or if it would help.....probably not.
"You won't be saying that if she makes me kill you" Georgia laughed bitterly.
"She won't kill me. I'm quite valable...At least that's what I'm trying to tell myself. And if I learn to control my magic I might be able to protect myself" I said and smiled weakly.
"And if she splits us apart again?" She asked.
"She can't do that to us" I sighed. "When I'm without you, a part of me is missing and- and I feel a lot weaker"
"And this is the part where we hug and cry together" Georgia said sarcastically. "I don't do this stff. You know I don't"
"And you think I would want to hug you?" I smiled teasingly. "You would just smell my blood. And you know I don't do that stff"
"You wanted to see" She smiled weakly before she popped her fangs out.
"They're cool you know" I grinned and looked at them and Georgia laughed and stood up.
"So.....what are we gonna do?" I asked and glanced at Pam's coffin.
"About what?" She asked.
"Her" I said.
"We can't do anything" Georgia sighed.
"Well, says who?" I asked. "I'm sure she wouldn't mind a little prank....like old times"
"Do you even remember the last time we tried that?" She said.
"Cora" I bit my lip. "Maybe Pam would take it better?"
"Maybe Pam will decide to turn you too and steak us both" Georgia smiled mockingly.
"Maybe not then" I laughed. "So we'll just stay here until I die now?"
"Pretty much" Pam's coffin opened and she stepped out.
"Morning sunshine" I said and smiled at the irony, actually in a really good mood tonight. "I was thinking of practicing magic...can you tell me where?"
"Yes, you go see the headmistress of your school, whilst your sister here, starts working" Pam said. "Georgia, those drinks won't serve themselves"
"She's not yor slave!" I snapped. "And besides....Eric killed Cora"
"Which is exactly why it's now safe to go back to school and be tutored by Anastasia" Pam explained.
"Umbridge is still there, and she most certainly know I've been with you. Georgia, please help...." I looked at my sister.
"Anastasia will help you with the magic, and I don't think Umbridge will have stayed there after Eric escaped and Cora was killed" Georgia sighed.
"What? You're on her side now?" I gestured in a hurt way towards Pam.
"I just think that learning magic is your best interests right now"
"Okay" I sighed. "I'll go tomorrow...I can keep you company if you want....while you're working" I glared at Pam when I said the last part.
"What can I say? Girls gotta work" Georgia said sarcastically. "Especially at 14"
"In a bar" I filled in. "You can't use her like that" I turned to Pam.
"I can use her however I fucking want or I could get Tara give you a lift back to the school!" Pam shouted. "You're both fucking idiots! Just go clean the back whilst Georgia's on the bar. If you're going to stay here, you might as well be useful" Pam snapped.
"Clean?" I asked sceptically.
"No, set a fire in there" Pam said sarcastically. "Yes clean"
"Why do I have to clean?" I whined but regretted it when I saw the look on Pam's face.
"Look, I ain't gonna make you do anything, but you better earn your keep around here or I'll chuck you out."
"Fine" I sighed. "I'll do it"
"Good" Pam said.
"Have fun" I said to Georgia and smiled.
"You too bitch" She smiled.
"Thanks" I rolled my eyes looked at the older vampire. "Where's the cleaning stuff?"
"Kitchen"
"Okay" I said and decided not to ask about the way there.

So I opened a random door and to my luck it led to the kitchen. I found the cleaning supplies and began mopping the floor. It was extremely dusty everywhere and it made me cough several times.
It took me about three hours to clean everything and I was exhausted when I was done. So I put everything back where I took it and just lay down on the floor. A door opened and I looked up to see Georgia before I closed my eyes.

"Hey bitch" She smiled.
"Hi" I sighed and lay back down, closing my eyes. "How's it going?"
Pam took over seeing as I don't know how to mix drinks" Georgia laughed.  "You're lying on the floor"
"I know" I opened my eyes again. "I'm tired......do you know how dusty it was in here? I was gross"
"You better go before Pam makes you clean something else" Georgia smiled.
"You're right" I sighed and stood up. "What are you gonna do?"
"Go hunting, probably kill a few people...."
"Very funny" I rolled my eyes. "Pam lied about that vampires don't kill humans, didn't she?"
"If they don't know how to drink properly" Georgia explained.
"And you don't, right?" I asked.
"I don't think so" She said unsurely.
"I hope Pam will teach you that....or do you like Tru blood?" I asked.
"I don't know, I haven't tried that either. But I'm not going to hurt someone!" Georgia said.
"That's not what I meant...Wait, you haven't eaten since you were turned?" I asked, worried.
"Of course not"
"But- but you have to.  If you weren't a vampire you'd die! What happens when a vampire doesn't eat anyway?" I frowned.
"I dunno, but I'll go get some Tru blood in a minute" Georgia smiled. "Go"
"Okay good" I said even though I wasn't sure if she would do so.

Then I slowly made my way towards my room, avoiding being seen by anyone.
I woke up the next night without Georgia in the same room. I would probably never get used to waking up alone. So I walked down to the dungeon and knocked at the top of  what I supposed was Georgia's coffin, I couldn't see in the dark.

"Chloe?" Georgia asked groggily. "What are you still doing here?"
"Well, I was too tired last night, but I am going now" I whispered.
"Okay. Be back on Saturday please?" She said.
"Sure" I smiled. "Did you eat last night?"
"Yes, so stop worrying about me and go learn your magic"
"Okay" I said. "Bye"

Then my sister closed her coffin and I went to find some money. I searched in all kind of places and found enough money for a cab. So I went to the school and knocked on the locked front door. It felt really weird being back here again.

"Chloe?"  Miss West asked who had opened the door.
"Hi" I said. "Can I come in?"
"Of course" She said and let me in. "But where have you been?"
"Got a little caught up with a vampire" I explained and she gave me a strange look before smiling.
"Okay, where's your sister?"
"I- um, she- she's a vampire now too" I stuttered. "Can I see Miss Hearts, please?"

Miss West frowned and tilted her head. It was obvious she didn't believe me.

"Sure" The woman said anyway. "Follow me"
"Thanks" I smiled awkwardly and the teacher gestured for me to come with her.

She led me to the headmistress' room and knocked at the door.
