- KERRY'S POV

I woke up early the next morning; hard mud wasn't exactly a great mattress. My back was killing me but I managed to sit up, pick the leaves out of my hair and walk over to a bench. I ate some chocolate that I'd bought yesterday and watched the bustling morning traffic as they passed the park - but I could only see so far because thick fog was blocking the road further along. It was absolutely freezing and I was sure that it was going to snow soon, which would mean I would have nowhere to sleep.

'I have to ask Anne for a pay rise,' I thought. 'There are no other options.'

My phone started vibrating. I got it out of my pocket; Chris had text me.

'Kerry, I need you back baby. You're my everything & I can't put into words how much I love you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me... what can I do to make it up to you? Just tell me where you are & we can at least talk it through? I love you... hope you OK x'

I wanted to tell him everything that had happened since I last saw him - but I didn't want to give in that easily because he'd think I was a gold digger if I went back. I needed to move forward without Chris and, however much it hurt, I had to turn my back on him. It was time to say goodbye.

I text back:

'Forget about me, Chris. I'm obviously not good enough for you because you cheated on me. Of course I still fucking love you but I don't know if I'd be able to trust you everytime Karrueche was nearby. Every relationship should be built on trust and ours collapsed because I lost trust in you. We can't rebuild that. Take care of yourself and have a nice tour.'

I slipped my phone into pocket and started crying.

- CHRIS' POV

I read the text Kerry had sent back to me. I was fighting away tears... she didn't want to get back with me and she said our relationship was over. Kerry was the one and I was going to sort this out. I'd do anything to get to that place we were at before, when it was us against the world. I loved the bones of that girl and I had to make her mine once again.

I walked over to some tech guys from the crew and asked them to trace the IP address of Kerry's number. They obliged and said they'd do it in the next couple of hours.

A few hours passed and one of the guys came over and gave me the address. I thanked him and looked at the address... Kerry was still in Germany.

I had three days until the next show, which meant I had three days to get to Germany and win Kerry back. It seemed an impossible task but I was willing to take my chances.

I told the crew where  I was going before I got in a taxi and told the man I was going to Germany, to which he said, "You pissed or high, right?"

I explained who I was - he apologised that he hadn't recognised me - and I said that I had enough money to pay him.

He laughed. "You do realise it going to be really, er... expensive?"

"Yeah, it's cool. I gotta do something urgent."

- KERRY'S POV

"I asked for fucking coffee, not tea! What the fuck's wrong with you, you silly bitch?" a customer shouted at me, extremely quickly, in German.

"I'm really sorry," I replied. "One coffee coming right up."

Work wasn't going great today; I was really tired and I just couldn't think straight. There was no way Anne would ever give me a pay rise now.

After I'd served the raging customer, I spoke to Anne.

"Anne, can I have a word with you?"

"Certainly, certainly. Is everything alright, Kerry?"

I hid my face in my hands, knowing that tears were beginning to roll down my cheeks. "I don't like complaining, I really don't, but I'm desperate for a pay rise. I so don't want to tell you this but I don't have... I don't have any accommodation; I sleep rough in the park. I just need a little bit of extra -"

"Kerry, Kerry. The streets are dangerous and you should not be out there at night. Look, you are a great employee and we value you. But we do not have any spare money... you surely know how scarce customers are in this place?"

I removed my hands from my face and took a deep breath. "I know, it's OK. I'll be fine."

"I did not mean that I will not help you. We only live in the small flat upstairs but you can stay with us if you like."

I was so relieved. "Really? Are you sure that's OK?"

"Yes, it is certainly OK. I do not want you to be sleep outside any longer."

"Thank you so much, Anne," I smiled, hugging her. "Thank you."
