18 and Pregnant

Chapter 10

I walked into my house and fell on the couch . I overheard my brother on the phone in kitchen. He was screaming at somebody, "IM SORRY OKAY!" He suddenly walked over to me from the kitchen and said." You better be lucky I said sorry." I ran up the stairs and I heard him slam the door. My mom walked into the living room and sat next to me on the couch. She said," You know you have to go to the doctor, right?" "Can you make an appointment for me? and make sure it's Doctor Bell." She laughed and started to call the doctor. When she came back in she said," Wednesday at 1:45."

Wednesday 1:40

We walk in the doctors office and I see all these pregnant women around me. I start sweating and feel my heart racing. I ran outside and started crying. My mom ran out to get me. I ran into her arms and just lost it. I looked up at her.

"Mom I'm not ready to have a kid. I'm only 18. I can't do this."

"Carley, look at me. Okay, you didn't make the best decision I know. I believe in you Carley Ann. I love you baby girl."

She wrapped me up in a big hug. We walked back into the place and I see every eye looking at me. I wipe my tears from my face and walked to the check in desk with my mom.

"Appointment for Carley Evans."

"We'll take you right now. Room 5. 3rd room on the left."

My mom and I both smile and walk through the door. As we walk through the door I hear a couple shout in joy," We're having a girl." Aw, that's so cute. I hope I have a baby girl. A nurse came in the room and asked me many questions like why are you here today? How many weeks are you? The big question was, where is your husband? I kinda looked at my mom and told the nurse," I'm 18 and don't have a husband. He was a one night stand." She didn't look shocked.

"I've had many teenage girls. No offense, but it's terrible what teenage girls get into these days. Doctor Bell will be in here shorty."

I looked at my mom and then started laughing. She was in the floor laughing, but eventually got up.

I hear a knock at the door and yell,"Come in!" Dr. Bell walks through the door with a tall blonde hair girl who looked like an intern. As he is talking , I suddenly feel my stomach drop. I'm about to throw up. I grab the trash can and puke. Dr. Bell said," Totally normal."

He told me to lean back and pull my shirt up about my mid stomach. I do as he says and he puts a cold liquid on my stomach. As he puts the sonogram thing(I have no clue what it's called) on my stomach I see a small dot on the screen.
