"Emma...hello? You in there?" Jeremy waves a hand in front of my face.

"Yeah, yeah I'm here. Sorry I just zoned out for a bit. Were you saying something?" I ask.

"I was talking about how it sucks that our flight got delayed and now I have to reschedule some meetings I had back in L.A." he explains, waving his hand around for added expression.

"You never stop do you? You're always working, whether it be back at your office or across the country. I admire that, I really do" I confess. I had never really told him that I was a fan of his work because I feared that maybe he wouldn't take me as seriously if I told him.

"Well thank you. You know this industry is really competitive and there's always new designers trying to make it and end up failing because they think it's as easy as it looks. People think they can just design something and immediately get noticed when it's really not like that, you know?" he says in a truthful tone.

"Yeah, but maybe that's what has helped you. Being able to see the effects of other people taking things for granted must certainly motivate you to work harder, right?"

"In a way, yes. But I think a lot of my motivation just comes from the fact that I love what I do and it's what I truly want to do until the day I like. And that's what's really important when you go into any career. If you know that you would absolutely love to do that from dusk 'till dawn without hesitation, then that's probably where you should be at. And I know that even if you love something you will always have your bad days, but you'll have bad days in anything you do so might as well go for it" he says. When he says this it feels like I'm getting the most important advise I could ever get.

"I totally agree and that's why I'm interested in doing this too. And I see that it takes a lot of hard work but I think I would be up for it since it's something I truly enjoy doing" I state honestly. I don't think there has been anyone I could relate to more when it comes to these type of things than Jeremy.

"And that's why I like you kiddo, you know that? I feel like you are exactly how I was when I was your age, which was quite some time ago may I add" he whispers the last part jokingly.

"Oh come on you don't look a day over twenty-five!" I nudge his arm playfully and he smiles.

"On a more interesting note, how are things with Harry? He told me he wanted to take you out but he didn't give me any specifics. So come on, spill the soup" he says with a mischievous grin plastered on his face.

I take a deep breath trying to collect my thoughts before saying anything. I had hoped he wouldn't bring Harry up, but it was inevitable. I wonder if I should tell him completely everything and ask for his advice or only tell him about the nice parts. After all Harry is his client and I don't want to give Harry a bad reputation since everything was mostly my wrongdoing. From past experiences however, I know that lying doesn't really get you anywhere in the end so i guess I'll just tell him the truth.

"Well, he took me to see The Met and it was beautiful, absolutely stunning that place is. Afterward we went to the Brooklyn bridge and watched it light up while we ate some ice cream. Then we returned to the hotel since we had taken up most of the day in those two places. That's about it" I say. And it is, just not everything that happened.

"Oh come on, there has to be something that's remotely interesting. Did he spend the night after? Did you guys kiss? Hold hands? Anything?" he insists excitedly.

"Well, I mean yeah he spent the night with me the day before. And yes we did kiss and hold hands for a bit. Nothing major though" I mumble nervously. I'm afraid of how he'll react to this news even though he seems enthusiastic about it.
