Chapter 5 Cookies and Coffee

~Kim's POV~

Ive been living with Dean and and Luke for a week now.

It started of terrible but there my best friends and they've helped me through it.

I layed in bed dreading the next day. Work. Don't get me wrong I love working with children in a play school but the thought of getting up early trying to get my daily routine back on track is gonna be difficult

oh well life is difficult.

I forced my eyes shut and slowly fell asleep.

I arrived at the play school and opened it up. I poked my head into the hall.

I must admit it. I miss this place.

I also miss all the little kids that are now going to primary school.

I was beginning to prepare everything I was going to do for the kids when the first mother arrived. " Hello I'm mrs Jacobs and this my daughter Eliza." The tall bony lady informed me. Her hair was in a tight bun and had no stray hairs. My eyes wandered down to her child. Her hair was neatly combed into a pony tail her eyes were a bright blue colour unlike her mothers which I was afraid to look at. "Hi there Eliza. How old are you." I asked politely. " Im Twee and a haff. " she smiled "oh your a big girl aren't you." I laughed "No I'm Eliza!". She screamed.

oh God this is going to be a long day.

~Luke's POV~

Ugh mondays. Why does it have to start the week. At least i dont have to work for another week. Poor Kim. After a few minutes of doing nothing, I decided ill go get coffee infact ill get one for Kim to

When I got to the coffee shop I went up to order. " Hi can I get a expresso and latte to go please." I asked the girl."hey do I know you from somewhere?" she questioned. I shook my head "I dont think so." I glanced down at her name badge. Leah .

well shit. Leah was my primary school 'crush'. I was head over heels. Im not gonna lie life has been good to her.

" I got it your Luke Green from primary school." She chuckled."puberty has done wonders." she whispered. I pretended I didnt hear. " We should stay in touch." she said " Yeah that would be great."I replied trying not to show how excited I was. she wrote down her number on a napkin "call me" she giggled. I took the napkin and drinks then left.

~Kims POV~

" -climbed up the spout again." we sang in unsion."Ok everybody its home time, Dont forget to take a cookie before you leave." All the children took their cookies.

just as I was beginning to clean up Luke walked in. "Hey beautiful." he called. I turned around and we were Inches apart. Ive never been this close to him. He is flawless. I took in all his feautures. His green eyes ,his long eye lashes. Hes perfect.

SHUT UP KIM your just friends nothing more and you never will be nothing more.

"um I got you an expresso.." He coughed nervously. "oh um thanks." I took it from him. We sat on the floor with the remaining cookies and coffee and just chatted and chilled.

Hes my best friend. Hes always been a great friend, why are you falling for him now?
