Chapter 9 The drive

~Luke's POV~

Me and Leah were finished our breakfast and it was time for Leah to get home we got in the car and began on down the road. " Mind if I turn on the radio?" I asked her. "Sure." she replied. Drunk in love came on. This was me and Kim's song. Leah began singing along. Damn she can fucking sing." You're a really good singer." I commented. "I love singing and song writing." She said. " Aww would you write me something someday." I said winking at her. She blushed. " Maybe if your lucky." She giggled.

We passed an empty park. "Can we please go in there." Leah asked." Um sure." I replied. I parked the car and we headed into the park. She grabbed my hand in excitement and lead me through the empty large park.

We decided to sit on a bench. " I love parks so much. Flowers, trees , grass. I love it." Leah exclaimed. She seems really in awe by the park. "I feel so free in here especially because there is nobody here." She said resting her head on my shoulders."Yeah it amazing." I said, honestly I prefer the beach but I'm not going to ruin her fun.

She then rose from the bench taking my hand again and pulled me up "Do you wanna play hide and seek." she said playfully. The last I played was with my cousins. "Okay, I'm really good at hiding though." I laughed. " Well I'm better." She replied sticking her tongue out. " We'll see about that. Ill be on first then." I smirked. she began giggling. I turned around and covered my eyes on the nearest tree. "To 40." She instructed. I closed my eyes and began counting. When I reached 40 I spun around to not see a trace of anybody.

As I walked around I thought of the advice Dean gave me.'kiss her and if you still don't like her then diss her' I thought. How was I gonna know when to kiss her. If I can find her first.

I searched the perimeter of the park. Eventually I gave up. "Okay Leah I give up your good." I announced. suddenly I was pulled back through a bush to see Leah sitting there with a big grin on her face " I told you so."

She leaned over and looked at my lips then my eyes and smiled again. Now was my chance. I leaned closer to her and pressed my lips against her then pulled away. I was about say something but she began kissing me. She threw her hands around my neck and I gently placed my hands her waist. at this point she was on top of me. She began licking my bottom lip. I didn't really understand why but I opened my mouth in response. That seemed to work. The kiss was great but I didn't really feel like I liked her more. I didn't feel anything.

I pulled away and looked at her. "My turn." I laughed. she once again giggled and went to the nearest tree and begun counting.

~Kim's POV~

I looked at myself in the mirror. 'What makes you think that Luke would drop Leah and go for you?' I thought as I stared. I had long straight dark brown hair that reached my waist. I looked at my face. my big dark eyes, My small lips. I have freckles on my nose. I smiled at my reflection. I hated my smile. It was nothing compared to hers.

I like Luke but Im to ugly to like him. Besides I'm his best friend. Whatever way I put it its impossible for me to forget my feelings or push them aside.

My phone buzzed it was Louise.

Hey gurrll

Was wondering u busy tomo?

We gots to catch up

I'm thinking hittin da shops

Oh Louise she texts like a ten year old. I text her back asking her what time and place. She told me and it was settled.

I went to the sitting room to watch some tv. Dean was already sitting on the couch. He was watching the fresh prince of bell air. I sat down beside him and watched. "Hey Kim." Dean spoke up. "yes sir." I smiled at him. "Do you ever think that I'll find a girl who would love me for me?" He asked quietly. "What makes this topic come up?" I asked. " I kinda want to find a girl who actually likes talking to me and all that other stuff." He said looking kind of embarrassed.

"Aww Dean Bean." I said hugging his head. "Don't worry your itty bitty head of yours." I said in a baby voice. He pushed me of him. " I'm serious Kim." He said slightly pissed off. " off course you will you just need to think with your heart and not your dick." I laughed. "I really hate you sometimes." He replied. " Love you too."

~Luke's POV~

I dropped Leah off at her house. "I had so much fun with you Luke." Leah said before getting out of my car. "Yeah me too." I replied. She left and I thought on the drive home about Leah. She was a beautiful girl but I don't see us going any farther then it already is. She's cute but we don't have a lot in common. Like me a Kim do..
