Children's laughter filled the pack yard as they ran around playing numerous games. Their faces beamed with happiness while the parents danced slowly to the beat of the song playing. I was quick to realise that it was the pack's annual "Family Day." A selection of games would be played. Each group of relatives and friends against the others.
I decided to match the scenery. I wore a respectively tight floral dress that fell slightly above my knees. I also had new white trainers that I discovered in my new room. I had come to the realisation that the room that I was sleeping in was indeed the alphas former room. Anything that wasn't men's clothes was newly bought for me. Sapphire and I had made plans to go shopping for some new clothes still I was has content with the ones I had.
I forced myself to smile. I did not want to be the gloomy girl in the back. I wanted to enjoy myself today.
I quietly waited to be called by anyone who would inform me on what next to do. There was blankets evenly spread out across the back of the field, leaving enough room in the front for the remaining activities. I sat on one that I had randomly selected. It seemed like the best spot to observe all the obstacles.
In my view, laid three different sections of large squares, each distinguished with a specific colour tape. The blue segment was connected to the woods. It most likely tested speed and coordination. I wasn't entirely certain about the red and yellow fractions. They could be used to exam anything really.
"Hey"
I glanced up to see a young man looking down at me. I responded with a basic nod and carried on with my inner thoughts.
"So, my name is Jack. Jack Smith. Yes, The Jack Smith. The one and only." He chanted trying his best to forge it into a rhyme.
I gazed up once again to detect that it was still the strange male disturbing my peace. He had his hand extended for me to shake. No new friends. I refused!
"No wonder the sky is grey today, all the blue is in your eyes" he commented.
I chuckled repositioning myself on the soft rug. I remained looking down still not interested in his tactical gambit yet I had to admit he was quit humorous.
"Now I've got your attention. I was saying that my name is Jack but you can call me to tonight if you want"
Piecing together his unsettling joke. I let out a little unexpected laugh and looked up at him once again.
"My names Casey" I manage to cockle.
He gave me smirky grin and sat down beside me.
It was Jack's charisma and charm that compelled me to be fond of him. He had a hushed sarcastic tone attached to each word he spoke.
The jokester had winter-white blond hair. He was tall in height. He had defined cheekbones and a concrete jaw. He wore ritzy clothes and had an earthy scent swirled around him. He could have girls running amok. He never dropped his mischievous friendly smile. Overall, Jack had a devil-may-care outlook.
We continued to talk. Eventually, Sapphire joined the conversation and enlightened us on all the pack gossip. Apparently, Chloe had her phone on speaker in the salon and everyone heard Mike break up with her. Plus, she also just found out that Clarisa told Madison that the Maths teacher was dreadful and boring and it turns out that Mr Gilus was Madison's mate.
