Chapter 5
Drew’s POV
“Class you will have to do a project with a partner that I choose.” “You will pick a topic and not only make a poster to present in front of the class but also a two page essay on how important your subjects are” the teacher said.
“Taylor and Jason…..
Amanda and Todd…..
Ciara and Maria…..
Aaron and Mike….
Jessica and Drew…”
Wait hold on wtf did she say. I have to work with whom? Can this day get any worse I was planning to ignore my crush for the rest of the year? She probably doesn’t even know me. How can I take her to my house to do this stupid project? I didn’t even know she was in my class. God just give me a break. But hey this might actually work out. We can end up being friends. I mean if she’s willing to get to know each other this might be fun. Wow I have so much going on in my mind.
Jessica’s POV
“Who’s that” I said to my bff.
“I don’t know go find him he might be cute.” Ciara said before running off to find her partner. I didn’t even know my partner, that’s sad. There are so many students I don’t even know in this class. I searched the entire class till I spot a guy by himself. He looked so into his thoughts but I had to go and ask him if he was Drew.
“Umm hi are you…
“Yea” he interrupted me before I could finish my sentence.
“Well then what do you want to pick for our project?” I asked
“Bullying” he said without hesitation.
I stared at him for a while. I know it’s creepy but he looked so mysteriously hot. Yea I know once again creepy but he’s not that bad I think we could be friends. I mean appearances are not what everyone only cares about, right? I think I was too lost in his looks because I didn’t notice he was looking back at me with a shy smile playing on his face. He looks so innocent, but has this I-been-through-it-all kind of vibe. I looked away when he made I contact with me. I don’t know why but it was too intense.
Drew’s POV
I was lost in my own thoughts on how she and I were going to work on this project when she said, “Umm hi are you...”
“Yea” I replied cutting her off.
“Well then what do you want to pick for our project?” she asked
“Bullying” I said without thinking. I always supported that. I’m the kind of guy who should get bullied but I don’t. Lucky I (Note the sarcasm).
She was staring at me so I decided to look up. She is so beautiful. She has deep brown eyes that seem as they are hiding something. Her hair is long and falls perfectly down her shoulders. Her smile is contagious it make me forget about everything else in my life. Her cheek bones make her look cuter than she already is. Wow I think I like her even more now. She turned around as soon as I made eye contact with her. She lost her smile for a second but regained it as she said, “ill talk to you afterschool k Drew?” I nodded in response. She turned around and I watched as she walked away to her friend.
“Drew ahhhh you get to be with Jessica!” Maria practically screams in my face to get my attention.
“I know it’s not a big deal” I say when she knows I can’t even work with people imagine her.
“Yes it is, you like her.” She whispered the last part so no one else heard.
I looked away and she pushed me to indicate she knew I was blushing and to clarify it even more she squealed an “awe” under her breath but loud enough so I can hear it. I was leaving class when I hear someone screaming my name. “Drewwww” I turned around and was surprised it was Jessica. “Yea” I said. “Here’s my number text me when school ends so we can go to my house.” “Okay” I said but before I can say it she’s already gone. I don’t know why but I feel comfortable working with her she puts a smile on my face.
