"So Suga, are you going to be busy this weekend?" Daichi asked, Suga looking over at him. "Ah, yeah. I'm going to a beach party." Suga said, twiddling his fingers around. "Party? Sounds pretty cool." Daichi smiled.

"I was actually going to ask if you and the others would like to come with us. If you don't mind?" Suga asked, his voice slightly hesitant as he spoke. "Well, I'm not really sure if I can. But I can ask my parents to see if I can go." Daichi smiled, his words slightly comforting Suga.

"Okay. Well, I've gotta go. Oh! And before I forget, here's my phone number. Call me if you can come with us to the party." Suga smiled, waving back as he ran into the distance. Waving back at Suga, his heart rate started to race as he stare at the piece of paper with Suga's phone number.

'Do I like Suga?' Daichi thought, his cheeks heating up at the thoughts rushing through his head. 'But even if I did, he'd never return my feelings for him.' Daichi thought, his heart heavy as he started to walk home.

'He'd never like me.'

[Later, at Oikawa's house]

"Ehh? Why didn't you tell him? I REALLY need a DJ." Oikawa groaned unhappily into his phone.

"Is he okay?" Suga asked Iwaizumi, who had answered the door for him, Noya, Yamaguchi and Hinata. "Well, he had someone to help with the DJ at the party tomorrow, but they had bailed. And he's in a scramble to find another DJ." Iwaizumi sighed, pinching the bridge of his neck as he tilted his head back. "Ahhh..." Noya sighed tiredly, dropping his bag near the small table at the door. "Also, do you know of your friends are coming to the beach party tomorrow? If so, tell Oikawa after he gets off the phone." Iwaizumi said, waving the group to the large kitchen.

"Hey guys." Yaku greeted, waving at the group as they walked in the kitchen. "Hey." Suga smiled. "So, do you know if your friends are coming with us tomorrow?" Kenma asked, watching his phone screen intently as he spoke. "Not completely sure right now. He's going to text me if he can or not." Suga sighed, his eyes filled with slight disappointment as he thought. "I also asked Tsukki and Kageyama if they could go. They said they need to check with their parents." Yamaguchi said softly as he sat down at the table. "Asahi said the same thing." Noya sighed tiredly as he rubbed his eyes.

Just as Suga was about to speak, his phone rang. It was Daichi.

"Daichi?" Suga asked, his voice soft as spoke hopefully. "Uh, yeah. It's me." Daichi sighed, his voice and tone sounding uncomfortable as he spoke. "Are you okay? What did you're parents say?" Suga asked, his voice slightly hopeful. "My parents said I couldn't go. I'm really sorry, Suga. Maybe we can plan for next week, or sometime soon if you're not busy or anything." Daichi sighed, his voice slightly muffled through the cell phone.

"O-Okay. Well, thank you for telling me. I've gotta go, but I'll see you on Monday or I'll call you when I have spare time." Suga smiled, his eyes burning slightly. "Okay, Suga. Also, the others said they can't go either. We're really sorry, Suga. But can we make it up to you guys?" Daichi said quietly. "I understand. And it's fine, you don't have to." Suga laughed, his voice soft. "Oh, okay. Well, I'll let you go. Good night, Suga." Daichi said, his voice comforting Suga's broken heart. "Good night, Daichi. Bye." Suga replied, hanging up.

"What did he say?" Noya asked, his eyes focused on Suga's movements.

"He can't come with us. The others said they can't come either." Suga sighed, his eyes slightly glossy and teary. "Suga, are you okay?" Noya asked, reaching out to touch Suga's shoulder; or at least try to. "Yeah, I'm okay. I just need some fresh air." Suga lied, running out of the house with tears staining his cheeks; each passing moment with Daichi's voice ringing through his ears.

"Why does it hurt so much?"
