Part 5

Claire's POV

I knew I had to tell him the truth. He looked so hurt and lost both at the same time it was overwhelming for me to see. I sat forward towards him to place my hand on his face and he slightly shifted back which I took as a please don't so refrained from moving closer. A tear trickled down his cheek as he stared me right in the eyes. I took a deep breath in and sparked up a cigarette from Sophie's pack she was pulling out to calm herself. "My name is not Claire...It is Louise" I said bluntly not meaning to have my attitude change it just came out that way. "What?" Zack whispered looking at me disgusted. "You have been lying to me about who you are all this time and I have gotten myself into shit for you?!" He was starting to get hysterical so I reached for his shirt between the tow front seats and pulled him into place so he was forced to listen to me. "I had no choice but to lie to you! Do you think I have been enjoying this?! The whole time I avoided you all I wanted was to come and see you, tell you everything but I couldn't because I didn't want to drag you into this! I only lied about my name!..."I shouted in a stern tone. Seeing his shocked face I let go of his shirt and lent back while he stayed frozen."I didn't lie about anything else... I promise" I whispered while looking across at Sophie who was now sitting in the back seat next to me leaning her whole body away from me smoking her cig avoiding the confrontation. Looking back at Zack he was now staring down at his knees. "They made me change my name when I came here. Only reason why Soph knows this is because I have known her for years and they put me with her after weeks of begging them. They are impossible which is why I could not go with them. I am sorry I got you into this mess with us." Feeling bad for what I had brought to him I got out of the car grabbing the pack of cigs on my way to spark up another one.

"Do you really love her?" I just heard Sophie ask Zack with a scratchy voice. I listened carefully pretending I was not hearing anything with my back to them. He was silent and did not reply. I thought long and hard for five minutes or so before deciding it was not fair bringing them tow into this and although it would hurt it would be best to be hiding out alone. All I could hear around me was the sound of the forest at night. No noise coming from the car. I decided to turn to face them both only to see Zack lent forward on his steering wheel face down and Sophie lent towards the side window again staring into the tree's. I took a deep breath and while they was not walking turned on my heels to run into the forest. As far as I could tell they hadn't noticed I had ran off yet because I could hear no shouting after me and no noise of people running through the woods. I stopped when i got to a stream noticing torches coming towards me from the other side. I squinted a bit trying to see who it was and noticed it wasn't one or two torches there was about nine and the figures were starting to become clear and I started to see men in police uniforms. I turned on my heels realizing they must be looking for me and ran back towards the car in hope to escape or at least warn them both about the police. Unable to see it was so dark I ran straight into a tree and fell backwards onto the floor. "I found her!" A male voice shouted. In panic I crawled to my feet while still running as fast as I could and not even in the right direction. I realized I was running the wrong way after a minute or so and turned to look behind me. When I turned back a black figure of a tall male hit me across my head with a heavy object and I dropped to the floor unconscious. 

Zacks POV

"Where is she Baker?!" The man from earlier demanded while me and Sophie was hand cuffed lent with our backs against my car. "I don't know she ran off without us realizing" I tried to explain. "He is telling the truth!" Sophie wailed at him sobbing with regret. The man turned to me and got right in my face. His breath smelt of a tobacco pipe and I turned my nose away in disgust trying not to inhale anymore of the smell. "Sir!..." A police officer walked across to us and the man with a blood hand. "You need to see this" The man interrogating us followed the police officer leaving us stood still being stared at by six other police keeping a watch over us both. We all stayed silent waiting to hear anything in the distant tree's. Nothing for three minutes or so. "WELL IF YOU SAW HER AND THIS IS HERS THEY COULDN'T OF GOTTEN FAR NOW TRAIL THEM!" Me and Sophie looked at each other confused as to what we just heard meant. The man came rushing out of the trees and bushes tow more police officers in tow who were now getting a K9 dog from the back of the police truck. "What is going on?" Sophie whispered to me, I shook my head just as confused as she was. "Well Mr Baker..Sophie" He smiled sarcastically. "Looks like we could be looking for a body now". "What?" Sophie murmured in a husky shocked wail. "A log covered in blood had been found next to one of Louise's earrings you like to call stretchers. I can guarantee that is her blood and I also can guarantee Jamie has attacked her in these trees and moved her body". He turned to face the tree's as if looking for something.Tears fell down mine and Sophie's faces. I should of let them take her..I should of not pulled up in this forest. I felt like it was all my fault. A sharp pain came on in my chest and from the shock of the girl I loved possibly being dead or badly injured I collapsed to the floor and fainted.
