It was my first time out since I broke up with my boyfriend. It had been a hard break up but it was months ago and I was more or less over it.

I had just finished curling my hair and applying my makeup when my friend turned up to pick me up.

"You ready?" She asked. She had too once been through a hard breakup and was a good shoulder to cry on and a good advice giver. She sounded half sympathetic and half excited, I was feeling pretty much the same about myself.

I nodded and took one last glance into my full length mirror, happy with how I looked before rushing off to her car.

I had dressed in a tight red short dress with the highest heels I ever worn along with the most amount of makeup I have ever applied on my face, although I had made sure it looked as natural as possible. I wanted to make an impression.

We arrived at the club only a few minutes later and the bouncer let us in with just a nod of his head.

"We're in!" My friend said excitedly, pulling at my arm.

"Let's get w-a-s-t-e-d!" She laughed, throwing her arms in the air before dragging me towards the bar.

"First rounds on me. Seconds on you. Then so on until we're too drunk to remember of own names." She said. I raised my eyebrows at her but nodded anyway.

The first rounds of drink were passed to us in the form of a blue liquid. Usually I would refuse a random liquid I had never seen let alone drank but my purpose tonight was to go crazy so I took the small glass and tilted it back so the contents ran down my throat.

It was very sweet and burned my throat but I could already feel myself getting more loose.

"Second round now or later?" My friend asked.

"Now" I said, my voice already slightly raspy. Woah.

A second round of the blue alcohol was brought around and I was beginning to feel more and more relaxed.

"Let's go dance!" I said, not waiting for an answer before taking my friends hand and leading her to the dance floor.

I had not even turned entirely around before I bumped into a sturdy figure and had a large glass of beer poured all over myself.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" I apologised, dropping down to pick up the glass, whilst my friend stood on the sidelines giggling at my problem.

I looked up to see an attractive boy smiling down at me.

"Don't worry. It wasn't mine anyway. My friend is the one who will have to pay." He said with a wink before walking away towards his already drunk friend.

I stared after him, gobsmacked as my friends laughter turned to a drunk cackle.

"What?" I asked.

"Are you in looooove? Do you looooove that guy?" She slurred. She always had been the lightweight.

"No" I said firmly. "Now let's go dance!"

The dance floor was hot and sweaty and full of grinding couples and drunk people.

My friend, being the gorgeous girl she was, only had to wait less than a minute before an equally gorgeous guy came up behind her and snaked his arms around her waist and stomach and started whispering in her ear.

Surprisingly, I too did not have to wait long before someone came up to me as well.

A hand found its way onto my waist and I looked behind me to see the same guy from earlier.

"Hey it's you again!" I shouted over the loud music. He smiled and nodded.

"I also have a name." He shouted back.

"And what would that be?" I shouted/asked as flirtatiously possible.

"Shawn" he yelled back.

"And can we continue this somewhere else? I can barely hear myself think!"

I laughed at him and nodded, leading him out of the loud crowd.

We set ourselves down at the bar and resumed our conversation.

"So what's your name."

"Maddie"

"Maddie? That's a really pretty name." He said, smiling.

"Thanks." I replied.

"Shawn isn't too bad either I guess."

"Haha very funny." He said back sarcastically.

We chatted for the next hour, about anything and everything and I found out that he was a single musician who's ambition was to wow the world with his music.

"Now Shawn we've been here for over an hour and you still haven't offered me a drink." I smirked, seeing whether he would offer to pay for one or not.

"Oh how rude of me I do apologise." He replied in a fake British accent and then waved for the bar man to come over and get us drinks.

"Two beers please." He asked politely, and the barman nodded and got our drinks. I hadn't eaten at all that day and I was already relatively drunk from the strange blue liquid I drank earlier.

Grabbing the drink Shawn got me and taking the first sip were the last things I remembered.

I woke up in a motel room in a bed, naked, with someone's arms wrapped around me. I stirred and sat up, and the person's arm fell from my waist.

Shawn stirred as well, opening his eyes to stare at me.

"Did we - Did we uh" I said, motioning at me naked body that was hidden in the sheets.

He glanced down comically at his own naked body before looking back up at me.

"I think we did." He chuckled.

this is pretty bad, i apologise
